I’m Black and I tip well when I/we get good service because I know they need those tips.

So
:mjpls:

You’re on a Black website saying Black people do not tip. Those people maybe don’t tip, but not all Black people don’t tip.

Negged

I’m black. I just see the comedy in this cause it remind me of the time our track team in high school went to Waffle House and didn’t tip the lady after the bill came out to be $100. :pachaha:

Nah. It's black people and it ain't even close. My folks owned a restaurant in Englewood. Almost everybody in the service industry will tell you the worst customers are black folks and I'm not even mad cause it's true.

Look at all the restaurants on the south side of Chicago. You can't even do call in orders no more. You got to go in and place orders. Half of them force you to pay cash. For the other half that don't, you got to show Id. If you show Id, the card got to be a card that has a chip on it.

Customer service at black restaurants is shyt because they have to deal with shytty customers. Customers then have to deal with shytty customer service so then they become shytty customers.

It's a revolving cycle.

My uncle's fraternity brother owns Truth Italian Kitchen in Bronzeville. The stories I hear about the customers there is ridiculous.

Like the video in the Op, service industry workers try not to escalate problems so they discount the bills down, take off a few drinks, take off a few entrees, and nikkas still be ridiculous.

Y'all brehs need to become comfortable with the fact that this stereotype is indeed true.

It may just be cultural. I don't know.
I thought this thick older black woman owns that spot? Place is overrated as hell.

If I was in that situation I’m using my shiny brand new Amex platinum and racking that 10x points on dining. Every single person there either handing me cash, cashapp, zelle, PayPal, Apple Cash wtf ever and if I’m short I’m parsing the receipt and calling bytches out in the group chat until they pay up :smugbiden:
Since when does Amex plat give 10x back on dining? :stopitslime:

I remember my homie asked me to come out to chill at the ale house. When I got there, i saw he was with HIS friends, so before I saw down I told the waiter give me a separate check and I ordered two beers and closed it out right after.

By the end of the night, them mfs was scrambling to get the bill right talking about “ yo we all pitch in 25 we good “ :mjlol:

The waiter was like “ he already paid his for his items “ and they just saw there like :lupe:

fukk I look like chipping in for lobster rolls and other shyt with ppl I don’t know :heh:

Okay what they did was triflin. I get that. Let's say they were there for two and a half hours. Who in here feels the server should get a $342 tip for serving a table for 2.5 hours? $133 an hour :hhh:

The Chefs that actually had to cook their food aren't even making that.

And to the ones that disagree:
Are you tipping housekeeping based on how much you paid for your room?

Are you tipping valet based on how much you paid for your car?

Ish is ridiculous
You think ONE server was able to host a dinner of 25 ppl? :francis:

I bet there was atleast 2-3 servers, 2 busboys, and the food runners to bring the foos for 25 ppl as well as refill their drinks n all the other shyt that goes along with hosting 25ppl

Don't be dumb
