Like someone else said choose the neighborhood around the best schools. If you live in any kind of city the best schools will always be in the most diverse neighborhoods. Not the hood, but the main part of town where everyone mingles.

Im talking about for the kids, the OP should make the decision based on what he wants to do. There is uncertainty in either decision. If he feels that the current neighborhood or environment is not conducive to his child's well being, than go where you feel it is for the kid. Everything else is on the kid, and if your influence is strong on the kid, than there is no identity crisis. You act as though there could not be an identity crisis in the current situation, a bunch of bad ass little fukks with no obvious guidance and respect, you think kids aren't influenced by that shyt? The child could act out just because the kid down the street is acting out, and that's how he thinks he is supposed to act. Nowadays, raising a 14 year old daughter, you think its easy?
