Typical lame ass response..answer the other question, then. Mike won his first title in 91, explain to me how DRob, Malone, Nique and Shaq were out of their prime? Isnt that what you said? Explain, then? Scoring titles are not useless, they only matter because they arent congruent to your argument.
They only dont matter, because no one comes close in that area.

This isn't even remotely true. Viewership has only increased since the 90s, especially globally. Stop going off TV ratings.

Futhermore, what does the 90s being overrated have to do with viewership? There's absolutely no relevance there.
I’m going off of how the bills get paid in sports leagues and not what you assume. NBA negotiations are about tv and streaming rights not random global popularity.

Overrated is just a random opinion. Show some proof/data that shows that the 90’s were overrated.

You just yapping some nonsense right now the only all stats that year was drob malone and Wilkins. Alt was irrelevant and none of those guys played Jordan's position. Just face it he had a big skill gap at the guard position that doesn't exist today. Pack it up...

Just seen Gil saying yesterday that the league doesnt need a face anymore because theres so much talent. But in Jordans era it was only him and thats the only person the league pushed. I was thinking how does he not remember Penny when i remember him saying Penny was his favorite player. Penny was definitely getting a push:mjlol:

Penny>>>Ant btw
They was pushing Penny and Grant Hill heavy.

The problem with this mindset is that dribbling a basketball severely limits what you can do in terms of speed and athleticism:mjlol:

So who gives a damn about an athleticism gap, when a basketball in your hands is essentially a sort of handcuffs? Being fast doesnt help you in basketball unless you can dribble just as fast which is a skill. Athleticism and agility doesnt help you unless you can move with the ball, while executing your move set.

Skills remove the handicap you will have compared to practically any defender. Even one who has limited speed and agility has the advantage because they dont have the basketball. And even they are limited because they are backpeddling. Speed and athleticism evolution is definitely overated. Especially considering its mostly nikkas jacking up threes these days. Its not like they driving to the rim and using their agility to score buckets.

Having a high IQ defensively, and team defense has to account for something. I think players back then were superior in that regard.

You're drowning out here, playa. You're not even making any sense.

If viewership has decreased since the 90s like you claim, and you're arguing it's about "NBA negotitations" around TV and streaming rights, then how could that possibly be when the league just recently signed its media rights for $76 billion? The league is worth more now than it was in 90s, so how could you possibly believe its trended down in viewership since then?

:usure:

You foolishly took the TV ratings of the '98 Finals (in typical MJ stan fashion) and used that as a scale to believe viewership has decreased. Don't mistake fragmented viewership for viewership as a whole. Piracy makes up an ever-increasing piece of the viewership with each passing year, with illegal streaming. Folks haven't been watching games by traditional methods for years now.
random global popularity.
Random global popularity?

You mean the millions upon millions upon millions of followers of the NBA that weren't present like that during the 90s? It's estimated today that 620 million people in China are hoops fans, but you want to tell me that viewership has decreased since the 90s? Every single country in the world has more fans of the NBA than they did in the 90s, but you want to tell me viewership has decreased since then?

:usure:

It's alright, you can admit you're wrong, you don't need to double down for the sake of protecting MJ.

He ain't win till all them guys was out their prime.
Pls stop

This is the dumbest post in here. Scoring titles or championships, they weren’t washed. See post below. You got no idea what you’re talking about.

What? We are talking about scoring titles. MJ won his first in 87. He won win all them guys were out of their primes? So when MJ won his first championship in 91, DRob, Nique and Karl Malone were out of their prime? Break it down for me. DRob won his first scoring title in 94 and first MVP in 95, but he was out his prime in 91? Nique avgd 30 in 93, off an Achilles tear, yet he was washed in 91? Shaq was washed in 91, yet he was still at LSU? Karl Malone went on to win 2 MVPs(97/99), 2 WCF titles(97/98), yet he was washed in 91?

Please stop? Nah, youre the one that needs to stop and go do some research. How are you gonna sit up here and have a debate when you dont know what youre talking about? Are you gonna admit you were wayy off base or are yoi gonna doubledown with that uninformed reply?
