Ghana leaders apologize to the Caribbean and the diaspora for selling us into slavery.

Pan Africanism died decades ago.
I feel you.

It has been resurrected for a few more heartbeats amongst the black youth not located on the continent thanks to social media and a new wave of awareness.

But it is criminally uninformed and non-supported by intellectuals.

If this youth grow up a little then who knows, maybe it'll live a little longer :manny:

Pan Africanism got you fooled all the way my friend. It once had me too

If there's no pan africanism...we all may as well get our c00n caps out!

Blacks in america are dead, and blacks in afrika will forever be the euros bytch.

It's really that simple. If we can't or refuse to unify on "black first" we are finished on this planet.

What's ur point? Ppl's feelings should be the least of everyone's concerns, especially when it comes to oppurtunity! And NEVER doubt the ingenuity or desire of AA when there's money to be made. Sounds like a bunch of excuses intended to conceal true feelings

My point is -- why go to another country with people who share the same skin tones and for some of us -- ancestors - and not be accepted nor supported?

That's the worst form of rejection -- mentally and spiritually.

Those Ghanians see AA as outsiders and not apart of their communities, cultures and tribes -- so us going to own land as a form of reparations will only cause issues. On both ends. They will also see our presence as a threat or for-profit only. Which is cool for some I guess, but I don't see that as a healthy or honest approach for success or mending bonds.

Nor do I doubt 'ingenuity or desire" of an AA -- as I am one. But, I know the majority of AA's are not homeowners, real estate owners nor have the experience living outside of the States.

I also understand as a business owner - that ingenuity and desire also requires money and support -- and that is something a lot of us are lacking.

No excuses -- but reality.

this is timely given the book i recently read, gonna keep plugging Homegoing, it chronicles the lineages of two half sisters, both originally from Ghana, one sold into slavery the other married off to a british slaver for 6-7 generations.

Great read, pick it up if you can

Don't forget the elderly Detroit sista who was MURDERED over there for land miscommunication.
May her soul rest peacefully.

Have you gone to Ghana.

I didn't have a problem kicking it there. I did notice the American flag high on the property of some of my brothers though :mjpls:

Like most things in life, it is a two way street. You can't go there looking to recreate the plantation fields and not expect to get any resentment.

Wow.
Son really hates that country.
:ohhh::hubie:
I super dislike the US but destabilization would endanger my kids and family...
You ready for that?
Y'all wild. I don't like seeing black folks fighting in that capacity at all. I hope y'all figure it out.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
This African is a c00n just like the black people thanking him.

He was taught that he sold slaves to whites.

Realistically the white man played white man games to get those slaves and told people after that Africans sold them.

Ghana is a former colonized nation which means c00ning was developed through brainwashing of their society by European cavemen!

Imo, those are real concerns, but still excuses. If you've pretty much given up on the idea, or dream(delusion) of America ever making AA whole, when the likely result will be changing one oppressive, discriminatory group, for another, then astutely many'll determine that our only chance comes down to: sovereignty, nationhood, and land ownership, which is possible in different scenarios, places, and enclaves...so ultimately any hard work, or toil needed to make that happen will be worth it in the end.
