Lol at the AA

Different level of insider fam
You think you're the only one who knows someone involved with the AA at Tech :skip:

The point of bringing up the endowment money is to let you know that we have the means and ability to gather any money if we really wanted to.

We supposedly didn't have the money when we expanded BDS (dunno why but whatever)
We supoosedly didn't have the money to completely renovate Alexander Memorial into McCamish Pavillion either

Cmon fam, if people want something bad enough they'll find a way. That's what we do. :buzzumad:

As far as Shaw, why the fukk would he leave his alma mater where he doesn't have ridiculous expectations and problems getting players because of the administration/degree offerings? Anyone mentioning Shaw is on crack.

Tech is irrelevant in Atlanta. Dawgs run Atlanta and any other flagship SEC/ACC school has a bigger presence than Tech does in its own city. They aren't willing to spend to compete at the level needed to be a true threat in the ACC...bullshyt offense aside, Paul Johnson is the best coach Tech could ever have hoped for, its gonna be hard to find a coach better than Paul Johnson for them and I despise both him and Tech

BTW Tech is going to be awful next year

I had a lengthy reply typed up but deleted it because even you don't believe the nonsense you typed.

Tech will be fine. We'll suck during the transition years but I'm willing to live with that.

I have mixed feelings about CPJ. He was consistent and beat UGA a few times and even got us in a good bowl a few years ago. But it's time to move on. I'm glad he's retiring and not being fired. I hope we get some young coach with innovative ideas, decent recruiting connections, and a new offense.

Tech could market itself as a good school to build your resume at for an up and comer. I don't want any retreads who just wanna retire here. :camby:

What nonsense are you referring to? The fact that CPJ complained for years about your outdated facilities or the fact that you have been unable to spend the money on facilities and coaches necessary to compete at an elite level? Y'all certainly don't have the enthusiasm from the fanbase to raise money from boosters...Tech fans/alumni are generally :manny: when it comes to the AD and football but now I'm supposed to believe that y'all are all in to win at any cost, no matter the price? No that's not the case breh

I'm not a fan of CPJ but he was a great coach for Tech. It's going to be much harder than y'all think to replace him

President's Office?

Regardless, met and know PLENTY of cats with "power" at the school..... (CACS specifically).

It's a small world b.
I won’t go any further........

You have your outlook and I have mine.

I just think it’s fallacy to think that all of the sudden the faucet is going to turn on from non-AA sources to fuel a change and entire shift in direction. That’s a big ask of any business which essentially what we are talking about.

I think they can get the right guy but seems unpossible that the annual compensation is going to surpass CPJ and cover the cost to pay assistants and support staff that a mid top level guy would command.

Damn. Never thought I’d see this many replies about Georgia Tech football. This shyt jumping more than the season thread I made :skip:

Which underscores my main point. Tech football is dead in Atlanta, it's an afterthought. Alums don't care about losing or even being competitive with UGA and maybe more concerning is that Duke football (which has beaten yall 4 outta 5) is a better football program than y'all. For all the good CPJ did, he hurt y'all by not embracing recruiting, being nasty with local media and just being a dour overall person.

Y'all need somebody who is going to fix the football operation, but also excite the fanbase. Y'all need to matter and it's a shame that y'all are basically irrelevant in the heart of Atlanta. Hopefully y'all don't just get a retread like Ken Whisenhunt
