This. Obama wasn't progressive enough for Bernouts, yet the party hasn't recovered from Obama. A lot of those Blue Dogs voted Republican since Obama. This is why I hate when young voters want even more liberalism. Until these old white people die, we must implement progressive policies slowly.

Honestly, it's not really even just stupidity.

The Dems are seen as the more minority-friendly party so most white people will vote GOP just because of that, regardless of policy. Especially after eight years of the alt-right blowing up and gaining huge support among that populace.
