It boggles my mind the excuses in this thread for the men who are leaving these women to raise children alone.

As though the men being bums is sufficient enough to excuse their actions.

We can all admit that the women made a bad decision in having sex with a particular man, but that in no way excuses the man from his responsibilities. These men choose to not be a father, it's not that they are incapable, it's that they know they don't have to so they choose not to and they are getting no flack for it because they have the perfect excuse apparently.

And instead of forcing these men to accept blame and deal with the child they helped create, they instead point all the fingers at the woman and let the men go on doing whatever the fukk they want.

It blows my fukking mind.

Let me break this down for you. In order for her to say NO or YES to you, you have to have already said YES in the first place. You get that right? You made a decision to have sex with her. You know that in the pregnancy process, your choice begins and ends at where you put your seed. After that, because the process happens in HER body, your choice is gone. For them its like, 'choice, what choice? you made the baby, its here, now you have to provide for it'. Only in the Black community is abandonment presented as a reasonable option by the men.

Take away the social welfare that supports this single motherhood culture and watch women switch up and start looking for more quality men. Then other dudes will step their game up accordingly. It never addressed the high unemployment and joblessness that the black man has faced since Reconstruction. The government became an 'ALLY' to black women making black men the enemy and the gender war begun along with the criminalization of black men. To black women, its about what is GUARANTEED....she is GUARANTEED government support if she is a single mother with kids...WELFARE CHECKS, FOOD STAMPS, SUBSIDIZED HOUSING... It has become a hustle for many black women. The men could not provide what the government could and the government knew this will lead to black men being effectively rendered useless in the community from a provider standpoint. That is where the 'nikkaz ain't shyt' talk came into play.

Society teaches us that women are to have control of their bodies...because anything outside of that is RAPE. You are telling me that these women can afford WEAVE but can;t afford BIRTH CONTROL PILLS or a dude nuts inside you last night and you don't want to by the MORNING AFTER PILL at the drug store, but instead will buy tampons and bubblegum

The solution is something that people don't want to hear. Keep your jimmy in your pants for the men and keep your legs closed for the woman and save sex for that person you will be wedded to and when you enter into the commitment of marriage, STAY committed. I didn't expect to tbh. Most of you have your mind made up that Black women are the beginning and end to all the problems in the community and you have enough cosigners on this site that you'll never even attempt to consider an opposing viewpoint, so it is what it is. I know what is logical and I know I actually care about what's happening in the Black community and not just remaining blameless, so I draw my opinions from that.

As far as your question, they do have a say. They have a say pre-conception. After conception, since everything now takes place outside of your body, your choice is gone (however if you actually have a relationship with that woman, and didn't just 'sell her dreams' to have sex with her, please believe she will include every bit of your wants into what happens). But knowing all this should make the choice of where you put your seed even more paramount because you know it is the only one you have before it is completely out of your hands.

If you do not want to have a child, you do not have to give your seed. And if you don't believe the woman is honest and will get pregnant on purpose or misuse your seed, you don't have to give it to her. Its that simple. Value your body.
