I got a question. If Clark with all she did this season, comes out in the 2013 draft, Is she a top 3 pick? I know goddamn well she aint getting picked before Griner and Delle Donne, but would you take her over Diggins in what they did in their college careers based on skillset?

You use CC as a vehicle to elevate others and women’s basketball.

No different on how Magic and Bird and later Jordan were used

This is facts, more people today know who A’ja Wilson is than ever before. she has been the best player for a few years now but her name is bigger than ever this season and there’s a reason for that.

Unless an act of God happens, it’s a stone cold lock that US women’s basketball team wins gold this summer.

Increasing visibility and marketing the game should be the goal. Not what social media thinks.

To me, it seems like social media is driving these decisions. I’m kind of surprised the WNBA’s partners (Nike, Disney) didn’t intervene.
Increasing visibility WHERE?

Most of the best WNBA players and then some all play overseas during the offseason and get paid way more. Women’s basketball is more popular in Europe and China than in the U.S. so Clark wouldn’t add it that.

This is nothing more than people in the US wanting to make money off Clark. Nothing more nothing less. And you can’t grow a sport by constantly shytting on a league and its players (past and present) to prop up ONE player.

That's being intellectually dishonest. Clark can play. It's not like you're putting Sexxy Red on there or something :heh:

Fine, then just put 12 white WNBA players out there. They'll sell more because they're white, and since they're still WNBA players they should still win.

Better yet, to appease the woke left we'll make it 11 white women and a token darkie.

Women been getting paid significantly more overseas for decades and cats saying we need Caitlin in the team to present basketball to other countries.

Where do they think women played before the WNBA. They literally had no choice but to play overseas :russ:

The 1996 Olympic team all played overseas. There was no WNBA.

And they dominated.

So imagine the US having the best women basketball players in the world, all spread out in different countries, then join up for the Olympics and dominate….

But they don’t even have a professional basketball league in their own country.

Even just to get her around elite players of a caliber shes never experienced is good for the game overall.
That’s the biggest point. Clark’s gonna be one of the faces of your league and many men’s players have gone on record saying how playing for the national team took their game to a new level(most recently Ant Edwards - Edwards: )Clearly the other players on the team don’t fukk with her for whatever reason. Perhaps it’s petty jealousy or maybe it’s valid, I don’t know Clark, but the end result is the same.

The Womens USA team hasn't lost in nearly 30 years breh... and have only lost 3 games ever.

It's not a matter of jealousy, it's a matter of winning Olympic Gold.... there isn't a logical argument that you could even make to include her.

I know they’ve only lost one game in 30 years and they’re not going to lose this year.

Clark isn’t some charity case, she’s won every individual award you can win in college two years running. It’s not unprecedented to have rookies on the national team. They don’t want her there.

That’s not just social media though. It’s basically Tim Tebow all over again.

USA beats Spain 84-36.

“Diana, why do you think coach waited so long to put Caitlin in the game?”

“Aja, how is Caitlin getting along with the rest of the team?”

“Jackie, do you think you should sacrifice minutes for Caitlin?”

It's a textbook charity case breh.

The same reason why her team also got invited to the white house for losing..... they have to give her something:sadcam:

Arike Ogunbawale didn't make the team, and she's clearly a better player currently than her.... but we gotta give Caitlin something.

We literally made one though. She’s the future of your league, this is a great way to make her better. Get her around ELITE players in the league and let her soak up as much as she can etc. Now whether you feel it’s worth the headache that comes with that is completely valid cause I tend to agree. But people rebutting this argument as if it’s RIDICULOUS for her to be on the team are disingenuous as well.

The league clearly wasn’t ready for someone of Caitlin Clarke’s star and it’s painfully obvious. I can’t imagine the NBA letting a story get THIS out of control before they step in and quell shyt a bit.
