I'm black and gay.

It's not exactly the same but there's definitely some similarities. Gay dudes who chose to hold hands are getting their asses beat like its nothing. That sounds pretty familiar to what civil rights folks dealt with during sit ins, demonstrations, etc

If straight couples can hold hands, kiss, hold each other in public, gay dudes should be able to do the same. It shouldn't be something I should have to worry about.

All of it is just fear. Whites have a fear of blacks because they understand us. Homophobes have a fear of gays because they don't understand us.

This trailer made it seem like black people as a whole are keeping gay people from having rights, when in reality, if white people want gay marriage to be legal, there is nothing black people can do to stop them

This is another problem I have with the title.

I support gay equality on principle, but the shaming of the black community never comes off well even though legally the strife is kinda similar.

I think Gay people should be given their own island and not be allowed to adopt children.It's unfair to force that lifestyle on a child.It's totally self serving/selfish for an adult to do some shyt like that.
