It really comes down to that last scene and the history of cinema representation of people of color. The show costs 10 million per episide, the most expensive show on TV. They can literally do whatever they want. They could fly in people, fly out people, add more people of color in Westeros with dialogue and character development, anything...

To be honest, any of them misc white dudes in Westeros could have been cast as black or brown skinned actors. If a dope black British actor was thrown in there, only the book readers would be bytchin. The rest of us wouldn't care.

But like I said, no one would be talking about all this if not for the many dark slaves in rags this season as well as that last scene with the nice white lady saving the ghetto slaves.

The way some act in here, you'd swear we were the ones who invented the term the "white savior complex" rather than the show giving us a reason to talk about something that's long existed.

No one wanted it to show up on this show.

Breh, logistically there is no way they could fly 1000 white people out to Morocco. I realize you're upset but let's cut the bullshyt out. Morocco is 99% Arab-Berber, the only thing they could do to avoid the last scene is to film it somewhere else.

If you think they should've done that, then ok.

You keep on speaking in broad terms about what they could do. I'm asking you specifically, what "misc white dude" could they make black, that wouldn't lead to people complaining? You write the show, who do you make black?

The Lannisters? They stole the throne and indulge in incest.

The Starks? They are getting butchered left and right.

The Freys? They butchered everyone at a wedding.

Dany? She was a slave getting her back blown out a couple seasons ago.

Littlefinger? He betrayed the "hero" of the series (Ned) which led to his death.

Stannis? He's getting manipulated by a woman and was willing to sacrifice an innocent boy to win the war.

Davos? He was illiterate.

Hodor?

The Hound? maybe. He's not a very likeable character either. He murked a kid.

I'm not seeing a whole lot of chances to add positive black characters here. And if they ain't positive, it's not really any better is it? Would you rather the Lannisters be black, with Jaime and Cersei fukking?

The point is, it doesn't need to be "that" which existed before the show. Lots of other ways to incorporate a black character before turning Michelle Pffifer in Dangerous Minds.

First of all, flying in 1000 people was your idea, not mine. If you ask me they could flown in 15-20 extra people and multiplied them digitally like they do in EVERY OTHER MOVIE. But you asking for solutions to a problem that's already a done deal. The show already aired.

As for who coulda been cast as other than white, how about Lord Karstark. Hell even Davos or Sam or a Wildling or the creepy kids with Bran or even a random whore in Little Finger's brothel. Any of them characters brown or asian, story still dope...But nah...Westeros is segregated as fukk!

Even when we saw that black pirate Salaam Remi (or whatever the fukk his name is) they didn't even let that Nicca get past the shore of Westeros. Whites Only, lol.

It all ain't a big deal, the show is dope. But I can't ignore that low-key unnecessary stereotypes perpetuated. It's fantasy on another planet, why not diversify? It could only help, making the world fuller. The show is not a documentary on the Middle Ages. Would that really be unbelievable in a show that has white walkers, dragons, Lord of Lights resurrecting people, a dude that can multiply himself, three eyed crows, green fire and animal mind cotrollers?
