Isn’t the only reason there’s another line of succession because she kept it from Rhaenyra that she was creeping on her father to be his new wife?

The only reason she’s playing the game is because she agreed to be her father’s toy. She couldn’t rebel like Rhaenyra did which feeds her resentment

she has to do what her father says she is not a spoiled princess like rhaenyra who has the king protecting her no matter what she does
She was also sworn to secrecy by the King about their relationship.

Did she have to hide it from her best friend? Rhaenyra and Alicent confided in each other in those early episodes. The secret keeping didn’t start on Rhaenyra.
