Maybe I'm having high expectations after watching LOTR show or maybe I'm remembering original GoT locations and sets greater than they were
edit: I'm strictly talking about the look of the show (locations, sets, CGI). Not quality of overall show.

Episode was mid. And if that is all they had to do to win the war on I'm not sure why it lasted 3 years.

it's more than likely the same kind of grayscale that Stannis' daughter Shereen had which stops instead of corrupting completely. That form isn't contagious anymore.Did the crab guy have grayscale? Can Daemon catch it from having his blood on him?
LOTR show isThe LOTR show is goofy as hell compared to this, you can feel the writing difference. Also the elves look like humans with pointy ears

I really love seeing black prominent characters in this sort of setting. It's so refreshing.
I feel the same way. Can't explain it, but I just don't fukk with it.I know LOTR inspired a lot in the fantasy genre but I never liked it's world. Dragon Age, ASOIAF/GOT, First Law, Malazan, and Witcher >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Because this episode and entire war is all about the glory and hype daemon will receive from it. He quite literally became suicidal over gaining that glory for himself. Why dafuq would people have wanted to see Crabfeeder vs Daemon - Crabfeeder was basically a fukking leper.
Such a weird question: "that thing you did to win? Why didn't you do that first?" We could ask that for every war in history. Its poor writing which begs question, why did this war last so long if the crab dude was so easy to bait?
