Personally there have been times where I undertipped (because of poor service) but other than the standard eyeroll no waiter/waitress ever got cute with me.

They have these cool spots that hand you food out of a window within like 90 seconds. It's great. Cheap, fast. No tipping required.

Basically those who don't tip are out of their element and should probably eat at home or at the aforementioned window service restaurant. How does it feel to KNOW that you're accepting a service that you have no intention of paying for? Do you feel a little guilty and try not to ask for too much or do you enjoy making the server do as much as possible, knowing you're basically stealing?

THEN n****s got the nerve to wonder why people in normal society avoid their asses. I would be embarrassed to go out to eat with someone like that.

Well, 10% for so-so service. 15% for average service, 20% for excellent service.

If you tip poorly, don't go back.
If you tip okay but the waiter gives you an attitude, go ahead and talk to the manager on why you tipped what you did, what the bill was, and that the waiter gave you a dirty look afterwards.

Yeah, not only is there hypocrisy behind the whole standard of tipping in America, the fact that it's become pretty much standard to tip workers undermines it original purpose;to provide incentive to work harder.

Exactly. Tipping is the only bargaining chip you have to encourage the waiter to give you good service. These dudes ruin it by giving a tip everytime. If you're going to tip anyway there's 0 incentive for them to provide good service. People who auto-tip are a bigger problem than nontippers.

Also true. Lets say I go to a restaurant and buy the cheapest meal and get 10 refills of water. My bill comes out to 10. I'm expected to give a couple dollars. Lets say I buy the most expensive meal and buy 10 expensive drinks. My bill comes to 100, I'm expected to give a tip that's 10X as large for the same amount of work.

I dare anyone to try and explain how this makes sense logically on any level.

You do know waiters etc can easily be paid minimum wage but instead they choose to get paid lower and use tips to "top them up" for sympathy
