:laff: stupid fakkit, a tip is EXTRA, meaning it's NOT required, it's a generous act done by those who are purchasing the food

people in america seem to forget that it's supposed to be generosity, not mandatory. when i go overseas, tipping isn't apart of the culture. they look at you like :dwillhuh: when you leave a tip.

yup, another reason why americans are seen as dummies

it's hilarious, the audacity of these p*ssy boys who beg for tips and spit in the food of customers who dont tip to their expectations but they will never disrespect their pimps high on top who give them 2 dollars an hour :laff:

the reason why restaurants love tips is cause they get more money to themselves and spend less on employees while putting the "responsibility" on the customers :laff:

it's so demonic :gladbron:

That's because the service charge is already worked into the price of food

Completely different culture and system

Tipping actually encourages much better service. Service is garbage in europe

and it makes more sense for the service charge to be worked into food price.

and i disagree with the service being garbage. i get garbage service over here because im black and it's assumed i'm not going to tip well.

I always tip when I have the money.

However if I have enough money just for the food and I'm really really hungry, I'm gonna feed myself. fukk a tip.

It's weird to me that so many Americans feel that strongly about tipping (or rather, not tipping). I always thought it was an optional gesture, to be determined at my discretion.

If you have enough money for JUST the food at a place where you sit down, then it sounds like you need to be down the block at the place you drive through. That way you'll have some change left over to survive the next day.

People that are down to their last definitely can't afford to go sit down at a resturaunt. You prolly need to be in the cheapest discount grocery store you can find stocking up on rice and potted meat.

I hate tipping. I can get my food from the chef if I have to. I can refill my own drink if I have to. I'm a big boy. I actually hate being waited on. You should honestly have that option before being seated. :beli:

at burger king they give you a cup and let you get your own drinks, aswell as seat yourself, get your own forks, napkins...whatever

that type of dining seems more more suited to you anyway

The service overseas and in America isnt even comparable. They do the absolute bare minimum because really there is no incentive not to. Foreigners are always talking about the difference when they come here on vacation. Hell one guy in here posted a link talking about it.

Id much rather have the tipping system and make the servers work for their money than have it included in the meal price and get mediocre service.

Waiters probably do the least amount of work in a restaurant, so if they get an attitude about a small tip, then fukk them for being an ingrate. You should have told dude to give you your tip back for acting like a bytch.

The whole tipping idea is fukked up and I honestly cannot stand beggars who feel that this tip is a God given right. If the service is good, then you give them a tip.

I know this girl and she tips 20% regardless of the service, just because she hates the feeling that "black people dont tip" :aicmon::damn:

Noone feels sorry for those mcdonalds workers who are doing the same thing.

I tip when I want to and when I feel the service deserves one, this guilt trip, oh your too cheap shyt is disgusting.

Yeah, not only is there hypocrisy behind the whole standard of tipping in America, the fact that it's become pretty much standard to tip workers undermines it original purpose;to provide incentive to work harder.

I dunno about that, wait staff is the face and point of interaction of the business and its customers. Its these people that get the most grief from dikk-headed customers. I've seen waitresses cry when customers bytch because food wasn't good or the restaurant is understaffed and service is not prompt, etc.

Stupid logic. Example given does not correlate either.

I love to go to buffets. I get up to get my own food. I can also get my own drinks while I'm at it. But no...they have to have a waiter. :why:

I can eat wherever I want and I make sure to pay for the food because that's why I'm there. Not to be waited on. I don't want or need that. That's why I said it should be an option, and people like you that are completely fine with being waited on and giving tips can choose that option.

A better example to fit this would be going to a gas station, and having a person to pump up your gas for you. Since what I wanted which is usually not readily available to me is now available, the gas, I can take it from there. But no, this guy wants to fill up my gas and also expect some kind of tip? :childplease:
