theyve already made the movie reveal and casted the character. theres no going back at this point and they know it. thats why theyre leading with the most powerful character in the mcu stuff. theyre trying anything to make her work for movies and her single isnt working. shes always had failed runs, but this time theyve put the cart before the horse. and im pretty sure she hasnt had a solo, but she was leader of the thunderbolts at one point.

And while her solos didn't do well they did better compared to other female solos and again she had a dedicated fanbase.Khan is still new and still has to get ingrained into the larger Marvel U. Yes and no. Someone like Deadpool or Wolverine or Batman or Spiderman will definitely be exploited due to popularity. But there are cases when they'll push someone they want to get behind for whatever reason. Case in point: When Marvel relaunched books after secret wars, they put Bendis on Iron Man specifically to make his movie popularity coincide with his comic popularity.

So you're gonna act like the movie announcement didn't influence her creative push?

Yes, she has been getting her shine on for years, but not like it's been these past few months.

She wasn't even suppose to be the main person going against Tony in CW2. I forgot who they were gonna do, but I'm positive that character would be getting crapped on instead of her.

Captain Marvel the movie will do money like all Marvel movies do. Character doesn't carry the baggage and heat with casuals like she does w/ comic readers.

I've always been fine with her as a supporting member of the Avengers as Ms. Marvel (Binary was dumb). She's always just kinda been there and never really stuck out until Bendis came onto the Avengers books and made her bytchy, neurotic, and thirsty. Bendis sucks.

That said, I haven't read the current stuff where they are trying to prop her up as a big deal, but on the surface, I don't buy it.
