whites determine what's white in their community just like asians determine whats asian in their community, just like jews control whats jewish in their community. only blacks and white supremacist support the idea that we are whatever they decide we are. as it stands, we need some guidelines as @Tommy Knocks put it, and having 1 black grandparent isn't enough in 2015.

So name ONE Black community in America that is not controlled by whites where Blacks set the policy on what race a person is?

A white person in the us has majority euro white ancestry so why can't the same be applied to blacks?

Obama is a biracial man that phenotypically looks more black than white. Does that change the fact that he had white lineage and has connections that a majority black person will never have due to the racial hierarchy that exist in the us?

mixed people in the middle (depending on how white they look)

Black with little/no admixture

But even with black america...biracials are their own sub group...even when you look at black american history biracials have held positions that blacks could not access. So to say that they were viewed only black is dishonest.
Whites may not favorite mixed over their own but they found ways to credit the whiteness of mixed folks when they are held as a black standard. You guys can not use this system to your advantage...it is being used against you.

you can already select more than one race on the census. thing is, y'all dont want it to change, nor will you ever fight for it to change. so that argument is almost irrelevant.

every community defines and enforces who is allowed to represent them except black folks, we allow the one drop rule to do it for us.

I created a very simplistic diagram...whites reward whiteness...the more a ' black' person has white lineage (in their likeness) the more they will want them to be the face of that minority group so they can say that it is because they have white in them that they are smartore beautiful/etc..
Y'all think you are playing this game against them but you aren't. Blackness needs to stand for positive things not be attributed with just the negative if you want people to align with blacks or else you'll always have to force people on a group did they did not choose to be apart of.

i answered your question. you can already select more than one race, but we dont need to set policy in order to set guidelines within our communities.
