you're extremely biased to one type of sound. heavy soul samples, simple flows with slick talk and wittiness in a pretty unoriginal way. it feels like benny the butcher is trying to turn reasonable doubt as an album and recreate it for his entire career....(then again the nikka first song that really took off was '97 hov
) i mean the nikka music group is called black soprano family. he just does this mafioso thing...and he does it really fukking well.
gibbs can and has rapped proficiently in all manners of production styles with different flows melodies for well over a decade. a lot of you are caught up on his work with just the legendary producers. mans was on HEAVY 808 trap type shyt to extremely abstract madlib....to more traditional soul sample use...to god damn g funk from cardo and worlds freshest...and makes it work seamlessly. Working with artists from virtually every region and not being out of place on a record. The nikka be singing hooks man. they arent in the same realm in terms of versatility.
you like that cold winter moving packs out the trunk in virginia music.........gibbs can do that and a lot more. gonna sound like i'm hyping gibbs a lot but the nikka is nice
