France didn’t become a dominant world power by being stupid or submissive. All due respect but you have to run your country in the way you think is best. Like other posters said, no one forced them to be there and I’ll add unlike America no one promised them religious liberties.

Try to look up the history of veiled coverings in the Muslim world. Notice how they were made into law by conservative regimes.

This is a good starter

Hijab by country - Wikipedia

It stems from conservatism and religious extremism in regards to laws. I’m gonna try to find some social theorists related to this to link you with
It says they were banned by the shah, the article doesn't really help your case. Also them being made into law by conservative regimes doesn't mean the majority didn't wear them before those regimes. You're conveniently ignoring secular regimes that pushed westernization.

I can speak from experience since 1 third of my highschoold was turkish/moroccan a lot of the hijab wearing chicks were forced by their family to wear it.

i support this :yeshrug:
so somehow the solution for some women being forced is to force the rest of the women also not to? :snoop:

It was, mainly all Islamic counties were.

The Taliban really fukked up the entire Islamic world. They really do live in bizarro world - just look up the photos. All that burqa and veil shyt ain’t normal - very few women actually wore that back then.

The photos don’t lie, lean the history on this and why they exist today
It has nothing to do with taliban it's mainly due to colonisation and those that were dressed like that lived in the major cities

I covered them in earlier posts as one of the main causes of the secular regimes

Post proof like I did. There’s no denying that the coverings worn today weren’t the norm a few decades ago.

France (as a government/state) loves to parade themselves as the beacon of liberal enlightenment while they continue to exploit black (African) people domestically and on the continent, and their historical anti-Islam/Islamophobic stances continue to be perpetuated culturally and more importantly legislatively

just look at all the African countries they have colonized and continue to exploit (they all black and/or Muslim nations from the North of the continent)
No! Africans are divided because they are divisible. You can’t blame another country outsmarting you when your own leaders don’t give a damn. I stopped blaming western world when I compared Japanese reaction when Commodore Perry came with the ships. Japanese realized they have been isolated for too long, were far behind in technology and sent out people to study western ways. 50 years later, they beat in a war Russia a world power. Almost everything is out there regarding how to build a nation, governance, law, taxes, corruption etc. Yes it is a long process. Africans for various reasons refuse to succeed.

The hijab was definitely common bruh, its just a head scarf and not even a muslim thing...Christian Orthodox women where it to...

The full ninja suit wasn't common...That was an extremist tribal thing where men traded their women like cattle to the highest bidder...

A pure women fetches a higher price, hence the ninja suit and mandating women cannot have contact with any man not family or their purchaser (husband)...

Yeah I’m talking about the ninja suit - but even the hijabs they did wear weren’t as restrictive it way more relaxed, like a stylistic thing
