Kirk Cameron and Kent Hovind are more examples.
Examples of what? These arbitrary names you throw out suddenly represent all creationists? I don't know who these people are but apparently they represent me and my beliefs. Thanks for informing me.

I believe the Bible has been corrupted by man so perhaps you may find scientific inconsistencies in it.
But there are certainly many ways to treat illnesses. I don't recall the particular story you're referring to off the top of my head but keep in mind that the Bible was never meant to be a book of medicine.
If you're sick I would suggest you see a Doctor. The Creator blessed man with intelligence to use the many bounties of the Earth to his advantage.
Okay well let's examine the science of the Quaran.
Quran 67: 5 And We have (from of old) adorned the lowest heaven (sky) with lamps, and We have made such (Lamps as) missiles to drive away Satans
Quran 37: 6-8* We have indeed decorated the lower heaven (sky) with beauty (in) the stars, (for beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious Satans. So they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side.
So stars were made to drive away Satans?
So disagreeing with one scientific theory which itself hasn't been proven means one is against all science.
If you take that literally and are looking for scientific answers in a book never intended to be a science book.
no, it's just that if your theory involves the supernatural, it is not science. and in a way it is a rejection of science, and what science seeks to do (find natural explanations)
Creationism is based on Religious texts. But when these texts make absurd claims that are demonstrably false, creationists resort to the old literal/figurative excuses.
Then I would argue you don't understand either. Science describes things in this physical world. Trying to use science to determine things that exist in another realm, so to speak, is like using a scale to measure distance. You are ill-equipped for the job.
If this is what you're attempting then you will continue to fail every time. But that only proves your own misunderstanding and nothing more.
WHILE THIS IS A CLASSIC JOKE, YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT AND ARGUING IN BAD FAITH, BROTHER! CREATIONISTS DO ARGUE THAT THE EARTH IS ABOUT 6000 YEARS OLD AND LEAVE THE "ABOUT" PART OUT BECAUSE IT IS OBVIOUSLY NOT ALWAYS NECESSARY!A guide was taking a party round the British Museum. 'This sarcophagus is five thousand years old.' A bearded figure with a turban stepped forward.
'You are mistaken,' said Nasrudin, 'for it is five thousand and three years old.'
Everyone was impressed, and the guide was not pleased. They passed into another room.
'This vase', said the guide, 'is two thousand five hundred years old.'
'Two thousand five hundred and three,' intoned Nasrudin. 'Now look here,' said the guide, 'how can you date things so precisely ? I don't care if you do come from the East, people just don't know things like that.'
'Simple,' said Nasrudin. 'I was last here three years ago. That time you said the vase was two thousand five hundred years old.'
Moral: It's later than you think.
IF YOU ARE EXPECTING COMMON SENSE FROM CREATIONISTS, YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A BAD TIME BROTHER!If creationists claim the Earth took 6000 years to form, why would it still be 6000 years old today? Will it still be 6000 years old next year?
IT IS CLEAR TO HOLLYWOOD THAT YOU ARE NOT HERE TO HAVE A REASONABLE DISCUSSION BROTHER! YOU ARE HERE BECAUSE YOUR SENSIBILITIES WERE OFFENDED BY SOMEONE'S COMMENT AND YOU ARE DESPERATE TO STRIKE BACK! UNFORTUNATELY YOUR INSULTS ARE TOO JUVENILE TO AMUSE THE HULKSTER, SO YOU JOIN MOWGLI ON THE IGNORE LIST, BROTHER!I will answer this ridiculous post with a story and hope your brain is evolved enough to comprehend.
Friends, why turn this into a debate against religious doctrine? Most religious people of either faith do not believe that evolution contrasts their beliefs.
This is most educated people I'm referring to. Natural selection is not a death blow to religious beliefs regardless of whether you hold them or not. It's just science that exists and has been known to exist for over 130 years.
my misunderstanding of what?
yes, and those people are not the ones trying to get "intelligent design" taught in public schools. those are not the people building creationist museums. those are not the people saying shyt like this:
Rep. Paul Broun Says Evolution, Embryology, and Big Bang Theory are "Lies from the Pit of Hell" - YouTube
I don't know why everyone has to come in here and play stupid about what flavor of "creationism" we're talking about. actually I do know. it's because a fukkin hit dog will holler
