Id rather beta test it first before I buy. I learned my lessons with cyberpunk buying these demanding games.

I played the ff7 remake they had a few years back, they didn't sell me.

Plus if I was to be into an RPG, it wouldn't be jrpg, I like Western art better

That could 100% be due to the engine they are working with, they had the same problems with FFXV. Thats why SE switched to UE4 for FF7

ff15 had to be patched from the ground up from performance to its narrative because after damn near a decade of pissing into the wind, SE made those bozos ship *something*. blaming the engine in advance - after the game already got delayed - is plea copping

I’m not being defensive, im literally saying the luminous engine is problematic and theres a huge paper trail of devs talking about optimization issues for it as proof.

Now if the actual game stinks, then then I’ll blame the devs, but the performance issues i have no problem blaming on the shoddy engine they are trying to keep running
