I'll probably finish up today and then go through more of the side monster/bosses shyt and roam the world some more.

Objectively, this game is like a mid-7, I suppose. Like 7.5/10. Personally, it's a low 8 to me tho. Having a blast with it and most of its shortcomings don't even bother me any. There's a few points of polish tho that can't be ignored.

Damn, still exploring, fukking around, and collecting items, nails, cloaks, necklaces, and killing mutants, on level 56 and still in chapter 6 (A Hero's Welcome). Now it's time for me to go back to the main story/missions. I have too much fun to do explore in this game.

Just beat it. Those Green powers were the best set EASILY I really had a good time with the game overall. It is rough around the edges in places, but it's nothing that significant enough to drag it down. Not bad or mid at all, easily above average. 7.5/10.

I doubt this will be a hit due to hate train and Square's inept marketing, but if by miracle it does get a sequel then I can see it being like Assassin's Creed, Red Dead Revolver, Witcher.etc where the first game is a little rough, but sets a good foundation, and the sequel greatly builds upon that, finds its footing and it turns into something stellar.

Yeah this is the kind of game that would be great for a sequel, conceptually and mechanically its great. If it got the kind of treatment stuff like Horizon got it would have time to iron out some of the wrinkles. But like you said, people chose this game to stage a crusade against for some reason, like theres some predatory mtx or something else malicious about it. Just very odd overall but whatever

And while Square did some disservice to it marketing wise, it looks like they or sony spent quite a bit of money on it.
