"The most recent edition of the UFC on FOX drew a 1.8 rating, the seventh straight UFC telecast on the network to earn less than a 2.0 (dating back to July 2013). It has been more than two years since the UFC on FOX last cracked a 2.5 rating, and more than three since it earned a 3.0 — when the debut telecast drew a 3.1 in November 2011."

This doesn't change the fact that what you posted earlier was false.
The last UFC on FOX peaked at 3.65 million viewers and averaged 3.05 million. The 1.8 rating is for the 18-49 key demographic. I think you might be confusing that rating with the number of viewers. That event generated a $3.1 million gate and attendance of 30k in Stockholm (the main event started at around 3:30 AM in Swedish time)
I never said boxing is dead. I don't agree with that statement all. Boxing is huge in many parts of the world and has a strong following in the US.

Doin HBO/Sho #s yet my sport is "dead"
Not true. As of Feb, 2014 UFC on FOX averages 3.6 million viewers. While [as of August, 2014] boxing averages 957k viewers on HBO & 587k viewers on Showtime.

I know that the UFC is on network television with FOX, while HBO/Showtime are premium channels. So it's not fair at all to compare the two. I only posted those numbers because you said the UFC on FOX does HBO/Showtime numbers, which is not true.
