@Master Teacher what would you consider as a casual fan?:salka:
becuase the rest of us seem to define a casual as something vastly different than you do.
nikkaz on forums aren't normal fans, you consider a casual fan somebody with lack of knowledge of boxing history
and from a business stand point that's not valid
fans are the people who spend money on you in ANY BUSINESS
a casual fan doesn't particular care for boxing, but will watch if it's on at bar, at a party, at an event for social reasons, etc
they might even recognize some of the stars, but all in all do not understand the nuances of the sport
a casual is not paying for a ppv everytime one rolls around, or will even follow the promo for a fight
a fan is someone who enjoys watching boxing, whether they understand the sport or not, will pay for ppvs when they can, will always order big fights, and might not ever go to an event for financial reasons, or might go to the more events than a hardcore fan because they are financial able.
A Hardcore fan is someone who understand the nuances of the sports and follows every detail, from the training, to weight cuts, etc, they follow the business on the promotional, they watch boxing on the regular. They go weigh ins, signings, open work outs, because unless you are a hard core fan you wouldn't even know how to find these fighters to see them up close working out. You can be a hardcore fan without going to these, but the people who do are hardcore fans. They spend money on events, they go to the meet and greets with the fighters, they know the break down of all the out of the ring drama
Ain't no casual fan spending 13gs on good seats even the celebrities you see in the crowd are boxing fans, they are not their just to be seen like how they do basketball games, because at boxing fights you see celebrities who really appear at any sporting events at all
boxing promoters understand their demographics which is why they make so much money
