I know I've mentioned it before, but with Dwight expanding his range, don't you guys think Hassan should continue taking jumpers as well?
I read an article on sun-sentinel saying he's planning too. I dont like the idea, i think he needs to master his post game.

@He Who Posts Well props for all the draft stuff, Im going to be watching highlights after the game

IMPOSSIBLE SCENARIO:

Hey brehs, let's say lebron by some miracle/alternate universe returns to south beach with this Heat roster compared to what he's working with in Cleveland, do you guys think we could beat the warriors in the finals?

No unless Winslow and Whiteside become capable 3pt shooters.

I think having another tool in your arsenal can expand his post game. If he can force teams to respect his jumper, I think it could open up how playmaking game too especially from the high post.

So I checked out those prospects that were referenced a few posts back

Justin Patton: reminded me a bit of Myles Turner, more skilled around the basket. Probably doesn't have as much foot speed as Turner, and not the same interior defender, but nice offensive skill set. Not sure you can play him next to Whiteside which is the question with any PF or small C we evalulate, so are you ok getting a guy at 14 who is for sure going to backup Whiteside.

Zach Collins: Good inside out game. Not very strong, not very fast. Look, something about these tall lumbering cacs is risky to me. If we're going to have one I think I'd prefer Markannen. Again, could you put either of them next to Whiteside? I think Lauri might fare better.

Jarrett Allen: No way no how, unless we were to acquire an additional pick.

If we're aiming to get a backup for Whiteside this is my guy if we can buy a 2nd rounder

Haslem — who turns 37 on Friday — has been one of the driving forces behind the Heat’s early offseason work. As the team captain, Haslem has already worked out a few times with impending free agent Dion Waiters and has made sure to stop in at AmericanAirlines Arena to catch up with other teammates. “In the midst of keeping myself in shape and keeping myself healthy, I’m also making sure those guys are staying in shape, staying healthy and doing the things that they’re supposed to be doing,” Haslem said. “The thing about this team is that there’s no mandatory, no coaches. It’s just guys showing up. Me in the league 14 years in, I pop in once a week, twice a week. I get a workout with the guys, get up some shots, talk some crap, crack some jokes, just see how everybody’s doing. We always stay connected.”

Legacy this man Pat. :salute:

I don't see any reason why we shouldn't bring him back. I'm sure he wouldn't mind taking the veteran minimum or something close to it. Even if he is not playing, his influence as a leader is still felt.
He needs to retire. We need his space in the roster to add a young player.

I'm telling the truth:yeshrug: Haslem has been useless for the Heat for several years. We don't need him anymore.
We would've won about 18 games last year (im sure alot of you would have liked that) if it wasnt for him keeping the team together. You always have a roster spot for a leader like him. The ungratefulness of Heat fans toward UD never ceases to amaze me

Hopefully we get a guy who's already decent on the offensive end. I'm not trying to see us take another guy who's a 'work in progress' on his offensive game

All that motivation talk to stick together can be done in the locker room or at gym in the practice session. He can be all that to the team without wearing a Heat uniform. I'm grateful for the great things that Haslem has done for Miami, but I can't ignore the fact that he isn't an essential piece we need. I'm talking about adding impact on the floor.

What player could we have had last year that in his place that would have made a difference? Im just trying to figure out, we got McRoberts on the roster stealing money and yall choose to go to war against the mayor of the city instead :yeshrug:

Blame Pat for giving McRobert an undeserving treasure chest. I got respect for Haslem but it's time for him to go. We need players that can contribute on the hardwood floor beside motivational speeches.
