He already left to brooklyn then came back and dude seems humble on his instagram so maybe he just wants more years on his contract. He loves the city and so does his wife and fam so i hope they at least talking to him about something reasonable.
I know yall saw JJ with the heat culture shirt on ESPN yesterday. Should we sweeten the deal with him and make the starting spot his and have the rook PF we draft on the bench? I know he works better with the 2nd unit but we could sit waiters or drag early since he a ball handler too or sit him early and bring him back with 2nd unit
Yea I watched many interviews of him going back to his first stint w/ our summer league team, Willie is genuinely a very nice guy. A quality backup big he should be looking at 8-12 per year we likely wont have that.
As far as JJ goes with him having bounced around alot I get the sense that he (more than any of our other FAs) may be willing to take a little less than some competiting offers in order to stay. I hate saying "discount" because clowns take it out of context, but you can tell they all really want to be here.
