Reading this thread, you can tell who eats at nice steakhouses (or knows how to cook) and who orders the "$2.99 Steak & Fries" at their local strip club.
Just looking out for mad cow disease.
My mom is paranoid about that e coli. She hates the way I cook my meat. If there us a tint of pink she ain't eating it. fukking Haitians man.
I just don't like the pink.
I don't care what anybody says, I'm not eating pink meat.
Medium Rare all the way
Medium well NY strip. I grew up on that well done tip because I saw my uncle eat a rare steak when I was a kid and it grossed me out. He put the steak in the pan for like 1 minute just to warm it up it seems. Grew out of that though. Nothing like a really good steak with some asparagus.
I ALWAYS grill my steaks outside. no matter what time of year. if I'm gonna drop some bread on a nice piece of meat, might as well have charcoal flavor too. I love asparagus even tho it makes your pee stink real bad. my wife made an asparagus salad this weekend that was
usually I either make a baked or mashed potatoes with my steak and a green vegetable like spinach, a salad, brocoli or asparagus with it
