Where is the open invite? Surely that would have leaked by now.

But even if they did have this open invite...ESPN would have to redo the SEC deal (they aren't) and same for the Big 10 and their deal with Fox. Even if they got full shares, they'd still owe the ACC and make substantially less because of having to pay back. It's a net negative regardless for at least a decade.

Louisville finished 2nd in the ACC and fell to 16, behind a whole host of SEC and BIG10 schools that didn’t play in a championship game.

FSU is not “good” with that happening.
Good point, but Louisville is azz. I saying if FSU, Clemson and Miami get good st the same time, that would elevate the conference. And even if they dont, fsu should worry about themselves. Win the conference and you're definitely getting in.

Next year 12 teams playoffs format:

1 SEC Champ + 4 SEC teams
1 Big 10 Champ + 3 BIG 10 teams
1 ACC Champ
1 BIG 12 Champ
1 G5 Champ

Where they gonna go?

Does the sec even want them? They're full really and already have Florida on lock.

Big ten? They aren't an AAU school and that shyt does matter as the last expansion proved me right (4 schools, all AAU). Don't see it even as valuable the market is. Miami is more likely.

Big 12? Is that an upgrade for FSU??
B10 needs a Florida market to protect them from an expanded SEC recruiting battles.

Florida State mask the most sense, since to get Florida State, opens other coastal area teams to come along with them.

But because Michigan too busy chasing Ohio recruits, you wouldn't understand anything about what I'm talking about

Still would have to get out of exit fee, this is first step.. Like I said last offseason, THIS past season was THE LAST season of cfb as we know it.. The wheels have been in affect, I know many here want to hold on to past or dont want changes but that dies looong ago, PAC is long gone and ACC is dead man walking..

Hope everyone enjoyed the season, cfb is dead..
I don't think people give enough credit for how regionalism and rivalry and the shyt that has nothing to do with the actual game is what makes CFB feel like a more entertaining product than the NFL. This almost certain end where we just have a couple (or less) monolithic superleagues where it's FSU vs Alabama and Ohio State against USC jr every week sounds good, but that's just the NFL. There's no inherent juice for FSU vs Alabama like there is for FSU vs Miami or Ohio State vs Michigan. The game shines when it's big brand vs big brand AND they got some fukks to give before during and after the game ends. Who gives a shyt about Georgia vs Clemson after the game ends?

The ACC WILL collapse as a power 5 power if FSU succeeds here. Maybe it shouldn't have the status it does if it isn't getting its institutions to the same level as the SEC and the B10, but at some point, we gotta be real in that sometimes, the powers that are have to be asked to keep others alive for the sake of the sport. This is just mirroring capitalism now - you lose something of the human experience when you let the lil dude fail. There's no memories made shopping in Amazon, Walmart, Publix. That mom and pop store is who you remember.

FSU should do what FSU wants to do, and now has to do to survive with the way the TV Networks, SEC, B10, have played the game. But it's still going to fukk the game if they succeed. It's going to be SEC, B10, and lil dog B12 and ACC. Lil dog ACC is gonna have less juice than even the B12, because the Big 12 turned around and ate up alot of the little little dogs. It's capitalism and survival that kills anything in America

You can’t do that though. The way the payments are structured your school gets money based on how many teams from your conference make the playoffs (and New Years 6 games). Which means schools like Florida and South Carolina, that aren’t sniffing the playoffs, get larger payouts because the SEC gets multiple playoff and New Years 6 slots. Take this seasons rankings and project them for next year and the SEC would get 6 playoff payout shares compared to the ACC and their 1.

That adds up.

They all got a bump in revenue when they added those three schools. It’s literally in their contracts with ESPN. FSU ain’t turn that down to stand on some principle either. Again, they were the ones out in front warring with the Tobacco Road schools when contracts were being negotiated and their argument was football >>> basketball $$$. They agreed to this deal that they lobbied for.

The bump is clealy to sniffing the B1G and SEC money.

And let not act as if FSU is the only school to go back on deal. When Texas, USC, etc has done the same thing. :heh:

them boys gonna be left out in the cold after the legal battle

However, neither the SEC nor the Big Ten has offered any indication that an invitation would be waiting for FSU on the other side of a legal battle.
It’s also not clear how much more money Big Ten and SEC media partners have to offer.
One reason the SEC hasn’t moved to nine conference games is that ESPN won’t pony up more money for it. Meanwhile, ESPN already has FSU’s rights through the ACC.
The Big Ten and SEC would also be very careful not to indicate any interest until FSU is free, lest they be viewed as tampering and face legal trouble of their own for incentivizing FSU to break its grant of rights.

Of course the ATL
What's so bad about them leaving? ( I'm from the south but not a fan of any of the power 5 schools around here)

The ACC as we know it dies if FSU is successful because that opens the door for every other ACC school to challenge the rule. It’s a huge domino effect

When the SEC tell em to fukk off and the B10 tell em yall too dumb for our conference. :ahh:
I don't even think they can morally hit up the ESecPN conference after they got fukked with the CFP. It's the conference for them, but even before this year, they've seemingly tried to position themselves as the non-SEC SEC team. I don't think they want to just be another nikka or University of Florida adjacent. I don't think they SHOULD entertain the SEC after the CFP bullshyt, but that's where they belong (outside of the ACC) imo.

B10 would ONLY take them nikkas bc of the football pedigree they bring and as a fukk you to the SEC. But their fans would have to be cool being called mud eaters and being looked down on for the rest of eternity. I wouldn't want that for anyone.
