Lowkey, with a 12 team playoff, they should just stay there and feast. Just gotta worry about Miami and Clemson and they should make the playoffs every yr. Those people at fsu just don't seem to be bright. They like Trump. They just wanna sue someone for satisfaction.
Bingo
The acc rejected the 12 team playoff this yr, they woulda got in. Their schedule was azz and was overrated with Jordan Travis. They just used that as an excuse instead of telling them the ACC is booty juice.

Who conference has the most Nattys after the SEC in the last 25 years?

They are reaching for straws.

Again, they can leave. But they wanna leave and not cut the check.
First play is to leave without cutting a check

Second play is to leave only having to cut a reduced check

But since B10 & SEC having an internal bidding war for them, no matter what...

They're going to leave

Which is a death blow to the ACC as a football conference. The entire conference becomes irrelevant recruiting wise the moment FSU dips.

I think if they're in SEC or Big 10, they would've flipped a handful of recruits this year, including Jeremiah Smith. But the stench of being in the ACC was too much to overcome. It's about the B10 and SEC in college football... period.

The sooner y'all realize this, the better.
This using if they were in another conference they’d pull better recruits has NEVER been a talking point until this year. Miami finished a shyt season and was third in most recruiting rankings. It ain’t the conference. It’s the product they put on the field and their lack of recruiters on that staff cause Atkins and Surtain do all the heavy lifting down there. Odell ain’t been a top notch recruiter since he got Josh Sweat. Fuller ain’t never pulled in a whale. And again, Norvell struggles in south Florida at schools that FSU had heavy ties at. It started when Diaz was there but Mario beats his ass every time H2H. Plus these conferences aren’t taking on a school who has a case in the courts IRT their TV deals. On the larger scale, if the courts do rule in FSUs favor, conferences could technically start booting out the Purdues and Vanderbilts of the world because the courts ruled GoR mean zilch. This creates a slippery slope situation cause if I’m Ohio St or Michigan, tf do we need Nebraska or any other bottom feeder for? All they’re doing is stealing $$ that should be coming to the schools that’s putting on for the conference.

If Clemson were smart, they'd have a joint-lawsuit along with FSU to get out. FSU goes to B10, Clemson to SEC.

Any delay getting out the ACC is going to do irreparable damage to your college football brand starting next year.

Clemson can’t afford it and why spend that $$ to lose a case when you can let the one guinea pig do all the heavy lifting and you benefit off the result either way?

And to your last point, them doing this only emboldens the remaining schools to hold firm cause 1) they got nowhere to go and 2)they get a cut of that exit fee so why would they give it up?

Geographically it doesn’t make sense either (not that it matters in 2023) but I wouldn’t want to be going all the way out west to play in empty stadiums

And their where idiots that said SMU brings the Dallas market. When in actuality, no one in Dallas gives one shyts about SMU. :mjlol:

That was just a dumb move by the ACC around. :dead:

Its not a bummy conference if FSU, Mia and Clemson are all good. They seem to take turns tho. Its always 2 or 3 teams in the sec thats top 10 at the same time. Then 2 or 3 more thats legit top 15.

Louisville in the conference championship was pathetic.

you talkin about recruits and not revenue. this is way bigger than some goofy ass recruiting.

they don't have the money to leave and want to do it without paying.

FSU school president signed this deal, along with all other school presidents, knowing the shyt was over 20 years.

Just because they decide to sue and try and get out without paying, don't mean it will happen.
This guy...

FSU has OPEN INVITES TO BIG10 & SEC. The 💰💰💰 is waiting for them.

It's a wrap. They're gone sooner than later, and once they're out, their is no recovering for ACC as a football conference.

And from the recruiting angle, being in the SEC or B10 separates them from Miami for southern Florida recruits and would position themselves to be competitive once the transition happens.

This is not hard to process. F*ck a contract. That's what happens when a team makes a power play.
