And their where idiots that said SMU brings the Dallas market. When in actuality, no one in Dallas gives one shyts about SMU. :mjlol:

That was just a dumb move by the ACC around. :dead:
But those 3 schools give the conference the power to keep the conference in tact and not allow them to leave. Same argument can be made for BC or Syracuse. Didn’t stop them from pillaging a now defunct Big East conference. Plus all those schools are coming in at a reduced % of TV revenue which FSU agreed to when the vote to approve them joining took place. SMU ain’t getting TV $. The move was made not to lock down a market, but for the conference to have more votes when someone tried to bail on them. Can’t get that 3/4s required to get out without paying now. Blame NC State :yeshrug:

TYRONE GA!
This guy...

FSU has OPEN INVITES TO BIG10 & SEC. The 💰💰💰 is waiting for them.

Where is the open invite? Surely that would have leaked by now.

But even if they did have this open invite...ESPN would have to redo the SEC deal (they aren't) and same for the Big 10 and their deal with Fox. Even if they got full shares, they'd still owe the ACC and make substantially less because of having to pay back. It's a net negative regardless for at least a decade.
F*ck a contract.

Lowkey, with a 12 team playoff, they should just stay there and feast. Just gotta worry about Miami and Clemson and they should make the playoffs every yr. Those people at fsu just don't seem to be bright. They like Trump. They just wanna sue someone for satisfaction.

The acc rejected the 12 team playoff this yr, they woulda got in. Their schedule was azz and was overrated with Jordan Travis. They just used that as an excuse instead of telling them the ACC is booty juice.

This isn’t about a guaranteed spot by winning the conference. They know they won’t win the conference every year.

The issue is what happens to the 1 and 2 loss ACC teams that don’t win the conference at the end of the year? Are you going to see 2-3 loss SEC and BIG10 getting into the playoffs over 1-2 loss ACC schools? The answer to that question is yes. Everyone knows it.

So not only is FSU getting a lot less media money by being in the ACC they will also miss out on playoff money the other schools and conferences will generate.

Keeping a conference intact isn't the same as boosting the TV revenue shares up to a respectable level behind the B1G and SEC. :heh:

Aww, so you got nothing. Gotcha! If the other member schools know what you know, that lawsuit is an open and shut case. The only argument you can make is FOX is tampering since them going to the B1G does more than going to the SEC. FSU does nothing for the SEC bruh. And why would ESPN tamper to get them in the conference when they already have them locked in for a decade plus at a discount? Y’all really don’t think strategically.

They good. Now if they finish 3rd in the acc, highly unlikely. The sec getting more schools regardless

Where they gonna go?

Does the sec even want them? They're full really and already have Florida on lock.

Big ten? They aren't an AAU school and that shyt does matter as the last expansion proved me right (4 schools, all AAU). Don't see it even as valuable the market is. Miami is more likely.

Big 12? Is that an upgrade for FSU??

They all got a bump in revenue when they added those three schools. It’s literally in their contracts with ESPN. FSU ain’t turn that down to stand on some principle either. Again, they were the ones out in front warring with the Tobacco Road schools when contracts were being negotiated and their argument was football >>> basketball $$$. They agreed to this deal that they lobbied for.

Louisville finished 2nd in the ACC and fell to 16, behind a whole host of SEC and BIG10 schools that didn’t play in a championship game.

FSU is not “good” with that happening.
