they not winning this lawsuit. You gotta hope Florida State gets fukked, primarily because it’s one of the worst universities in major football, but it also keeps the illusion of the ACC going for another decade if their secession gets rebuffed
They succeed, UNC, Miami, Clemson are out
Burn it down. NCAA and ESPN kept them out of the playoff so raise hell. They went undefeated and played by the rules and ended up getting screwed in the end
ESPN doesn't gain anything dissolving the ACC, in fact I'd bet they prefer the ACC stay as is, they already have their rights on a cheap deal.ESPN getting exactly what they wanted by keeping them out of the playoff. Fast tracking the dissolving of the ACC.
Sh1t, Stanford and Cal may be better off staying in the Pac-2 and trying to salvage that than dealing with this mess. Even if FSU loses, the writing is on the wall that ACC may not last much longer once that contract expires. They are way behind in tv revenue and all of the big brand schools will be running to somewhere else to close the $$$ gap with the B1G and SEC.
Hell, why would they even sign the Grant of Right when they can't even get a copy of it for personal reference ? That should be a red flag from the start.
Just seen that.
I don't know how you can enforce a contract that no one is allowed to get a copy of.
it won't because the other schools who don't get invites to the Big 10 and SEC will keep the conference alive

Not really. It’s been that way close to a decade and wasn’t an issue until they wanted to make it one.Yeah, that’s fugazi. That may be enough to get them out since they can’t see the contract lol.
I think that’s the point. I’m sure contract lawyers can explain this better, but if you can’t see the terms of a contract you signed and aren’t allowed to make copies, that could be legally dubious. Not really. The big 12 will cherry pick the schools that have some value, but aren't necessarily the flagship/biggest brand schools from the ACC.
It would basically be the same thing that happened to the Pac 12.
