DeSantis is using the part of the trump playbook that actually worked. By making himself the target he’s getting the media/opposition to build his visibility and essentially frame him as the eventual nominee.
Never forget that anything even remotely involving immigration is a losing issue for Dems.

We should be forcing him to answer questions about trump stealing nuclear secrets, January 6th, abortion, violent white supremacists, expanding health care and income inequality.
There are tens of millions of people that are one accidentally broken limb, untreated infection or minor accident while uninsured away from eviction and total financial catastrophe. This isn’t moving the needle.
