DC literally has the most iconic superhero characters of all-time and they (Warner Bros.) still don't know what the f*ck to do with most of them in 2022

I don't care about superhero movies. Looking forward to Batman, only saw two MCU movies (Iron Man 1 and the second Thor). Loved the Nolan Batman movies ,outside of the third one. So I got no horse in this race. But man I legit don't understand this. MCU films are successful because they've found a way to excite hardcore male nerds and casual movie goers - including women. That's all you have to do in an era where film is largely just about entertainment and moreso of a roller coaster/theme park than actual "cinema." If you're a Warner exec who just watched the Snyder JL cut garner more attention and success than anything you've done in ages...why move away from that so drastically?
Even the Wonder Woman films aren't successful enough to convince me that throwing out a Supergirl or Batgirl movie will work. This rumor is so weird man. If the main goal is to make money and feed a rabid online fanbase it sure seems like they're gearing up to fukk it all up right.

I hate to say it but that’s obviously the route they’re going in. Didn’t need those tweets to see that
1) Affleck doesn’t want to play Batman anymore
2) Keaton has been casted for the Batgirl movie, clearly implying the Batfleck version will be erased from continuity
3) WB for whatever reason don’t wanna bring Cavill back as Superman
and finally
4) WB doesn’t know wtf they’re doing. They need a Kevin Feige type guy to oversee everything and stop interfering with the process which fukked up previous films to even make them wanna erase them from continuity

DC stans will never admit it but Snyder wasn't the right choice. This is like when a team with bad ownership hires the wrong coach. The franchise is set back years and now you're in rebuilding mode.

You don't need to waste a huge DC event like Flashpoint on the goddamn Snyderverse. I've read rumors months ago that the Flash movie was going to erase Synder's movies but if true they still don't need to replace Superman with Supergirl and Batman with Batgirl. Just do a soft reboot with Cavill as Superman and recast someone to play Batman in the DCEU.
