All this goes back to the importance of nuclear families. Families constitute a community and its the community that can push for education/policies/etc.
These dudes talk these grandiose plans but dont want yo start planting the seed.

Not true at all. This generation of youth are on track to be the first in more than a century to be materially less well off in adulthood than their parents.

On track? It's already happening. Most 20 somethings live with their parents and most 30 somethings rent and don't own a house.

This really needs to be emphasized more in topics like this. The "nuclear family" was never really a reality amongst African Americans. Hell, you could make the argument it wasn't the reality for a majority of white people until the post-war era

Yeah... Govt jobs are basically why there is a black middle class in this country.

That and factory jobs like the steel mills and auto industry.
