Right. That's why the focus should be on public policy solutions, not personal or familial ones. Black people promote this idea that "family structure" is the root of our problems because they think it's an easy fix.

It is a starting point.

So that's it? Just go to college, get married and get wealthy. You all make it sounds so simple.

Married, educated Blacks still make far less than White counterparts. Anyone blaming culture or structure and not reparations is full of shyt.

Our problem has always been education. Lack of it is how it is easy to continue with the divide of the haves and have nots. Lack of education begets ignorance. Even worse is what seems to be from time to time, a willful ignorance. The ghetto is not a place where your physical being rests, your mind is there as well as its a mentality.

Another thing, seemingly from what I've seen is lack of work ethic, moreso on men than women. I've taught collegiately for four years. In every single class, my top performer was a woman. Women usually outnumber men 3:1. I work in healthcare finance. I'm one of a few men here and one of three black men. The ratio to that is like 6:1, women to men. Men are getting left behind.

I wholeheartedly agree with this.
People are gonna be people.

It's policy/systemic decisions that place them where they are socially/economically
