It's too reductive to think a 2 minute trailer is going to reveal what this movie is going to focus on and who is going to be featured. It's obvious the producer and director really wanted to honor Chadwick and the character of T'Challa. I think folks may be surprised by the final product.

Marvel is capitalizing on Chadwick's death and conflating him with the character. He even dies of cancer in the movie, a world where they can cure anything). Well when Heath Ledger died right before The Dark Knight, they definitely played up the dedications and tributes to sell tickets and court favor with awards. So I honestly think if Robert Downey Jr died right before Iron Man 2, Marvel would have pimped the shyt out of that.

Fortunately Heath had completed filming for Dark Knight but even if he died before hand they would've edited in a way that wouldn't affect the plot or they would've recast

Nothing wrong with a female BP. Good writing can make it work, but even if the writing is bad it still won't be because a woman is in the suit

I'll have to actually see Letitia Wright in action to be completely sold

But plotwise at least, she does have a lot going for her as motivation


Plus, her being black panther will be kinda interesting because of her tech savyness


And I'd be surprised if the movie flops. Despite some or the backlash, the overall response is still positive

Facts. They got Angela Basset crying like Mike Brown's mom up on screen and the whole movie reeks of absent black fathers and men.
