In the comics bp made him chief of Wakanda after getting his ass beat by killmonger. He hid inside wakandas networking wires underground until he was ready. Everyone in Wakanda had an issue with it.Their game so cold they had fun wit it, they basically said aye watch this we gon cast OURSELF in the movie and still get people to fall for the flim flam

This is propaganda. This is how you uproot a system—-what they call toxic masculinity, patriarchy, etc—-you do it SLOW, mixing the candy in the ‘medicine’ aka movies and tv shows. It’s a slow and subtle crawl so people like you don’t even notice it. The LGBT community did it slowly. Russia took 20+ years AFTER the Cold War to plant seeds of polarization in the US and that’s now bearing fruit.

Ding, ding, ding. Anytime people talk about pandering, it's because they're not the ones being pandered to. You never hear white men complain about pandering when the lead is white men, or men talk about pandering when the hero is male. The only time pandering comes up is when the hero doesn't look like the person complaining.

Not sure why people are acting like Coogler didn't have to throw out his script and put something together because of Chadwick's death. There's zero fukking chance the original plan was to have TChalla die in his second solo film. Marvel was clearly positioning him to be a leader in the next phase.
My guess is that Killmonger is in the firm, maybe in the astral plane, Shuri takes over the mantle for this battle, and through some multiverse trickery, the door is open for a new TChalla to be cast.

Folk who work in corporate know these 2 words: diversity and inclusion. That’s the new “affirmative action’ except it’s streamlined. They just lump all minorities in that pot. And the pecking order is:
1- women- bc that includes white women too
2- LGBT- bc this includes white men also
3- all other non/black races- bc that includes high ranking Asians who they’d likely hire anyway, plus international students who are all throughout the hiring pipeline already. Easy to meet this mandate with some whitewashed Indians, latinas, Asians, etc who fit right in for those happy hours
4- black women. They would obviously rather hire an ambigous international woman or an asian than a black woman so they’re this low. Yet they fear black women making a stink so they are prioritized over black men
5- Our numbers are already low, plus well got a large segment that’s anti-establishment and won’t participate, plus while all the groups above are wired to be go getters and aggressive, we’re wired to be scary n toe the line and play nice bc we don’t want to scare anyone.
I say all that to say this: white people are ecstatic at the new rules for diversity and inclusion bc it allows them to meet mandates for a diverse workforce while still bypassing who they actually dislike which is black men, and yes that includes movies. You can also apply this logic to why British actors are overtaking black American acting roles as well

Marvel was positioning him to be the leader how, he had one line in infinity war and got thanos snapped, and didn't even say anything in the next movie
You recast the character and have somebody else play him, not erase him from his own story, if Tom Holland died, best believe Peter Parker gonna be in the next spider-man movie are you serious

It's too reductive to think a 2 minute trailer is going to reveal what this movie is going to focus on and who is going to be featured. It's obvious the producer and director really wanted to honor Chadwick and the character of T'Challa. I think folks may be surprised by the final product.
