This is exactly what I saidYall don't understand the power of Cinema, this will further drive a wedge between Black men and Women.
I'm not trying to watch Black Panther: Dyking in Wakanda. Yall can have that
Where are ya getting this fromThis is exactly what I said
As evident by the fact BP drove a humongous wedge between Africans and black Americans …which snowballed to “ADOS/FBA” movement going full drive
Yeah, if anything it did the opposite. Black Panther came out and suddenly everyone was on that Ghana Year of Return Wave, and doing DNA tests and to find out their ancestry.Where are ya getting this from
Whats the beef exactly? The lack of a recast or something else?
You were picked on as a child. It's obvious.the first film was trash, and got the black support stimulus package, won't get it this time
you got a black panther trailer with no black panther in it and expect this thing to sell, who comes up with these dumb ass ideas over there
marvel's decline will continue
Yall going to feel foolish when they bring back killmonger
the racial tension opening weekend will be palpable
Well it is a teaser. Maybe we find out more once other trailers release and or the movie gets closer.I think people fell a way because it seems to be really heavy with the female cast. And I just looked at the imbd and it really is woman heavy. Doesn't bother me any. I just want it to be good.
My problem is not understanding the secrecy of knowing who will inherit the Black Panther powers.
If you look at his imbd page despite being busy most years, 2020 and 2021 were relatively open with just appearances in short term projects like tv guest cameos. Could've had time to film a secret project around that time.Yall going to feel foolish when they bring back killmonger
Nikka shut up “don’t steal our joy!!!The Hollywood slight of hand. Every film backed by Hollywood dealing with historical black issues and events and now African cultured films will be layered with black men vs black women undertones and an emasculation of black men.
I've been literally seeing post on social media sounding like "throughout history black women have held the community down" "black women have pulled the community through things like slavery and Jim crow " etc. This is in fact historically inaccurate and dismisses the major contributions, inventions, mutual aid societies, political and social fights black men have accomplished but also continues to push a divisive wedge between black men and black women which ultimately leads to our community suffering.
I have to explain this to my kids all the time. That even though we can look at wakanda and feel good about some of the African principles and dynamics and black heroes in the film understand Hollywood is still Hollywood and that since the film birth of a nation (the original one) Hollywood has never meant any good for us. So always watch the crap coming with the some good.
