The actress Margot Robbie is a GOOD actress don't get me wrong (she did great in Wolf Of Wallstreet) but im sick and tired of the white woman being constantly portrayed as the fukking epitome of beauty to the point where a black male would undoubtedly forsake his "career criminal" con man playboy lifestyle for.... fukk that there are talented, sexy, fine as hell black actresses that could easily pull off this type of role (Tarraj Henson, an Oscar nominee. You know the answer. Add a black actress and it becomes a black movie. White audiences aren't gonna fukk with it and the chance that they do is a $100 million dollar bet that studio heads aren't willing to make. That budget would have to come all the way down When it comes to obvious white washing like Avatar, Dragonball and any Egypt movie, Im quick to get them bushes ready This is just a heist movie. Chill out. You maybe could have gotten away with an Hispanic woman though. Like Hitch.

I didn't choose Will's movies for the budgets, just to show that he's always had diverse leading ladies in his movies. So a white chick here isn't any different than his other movies.


When it comes to diversity, I just dont like the idea that people are "owed" to be represented. White people are making movies for white audiences, so they'll put who they think will make the most money. It's the same argument since Malcolm. Make your own, instead of begging another for a chance. Minority producers should be making these kinds of movies, but the ones that do target black audiences, are busy making low-denominator comedies.

This movie is yet another prime example that unless we cultivate our own art and give our own people opportunities that they'll never fully let us in. They'll throw us a Will Smith, Denzel, Halle Berry, Idris Elba flavored bone every now and then for the sake of mixing it up, but that's about it.

That's why it's important that we support black creative artists. The writers, comic artists, producers, film makers, etc. This is the primary reason I can't stand Tyler Perry. Dude is the most powerful black man in Hollywood and all we get from him is stereotypical bullshyt that degrades the image of black men and paints all black women as helpless fools who need a (usually light skinned) knight in shining armor to save them. But yet his ass will be quick to star in films like Gone Girl, Alex Cross, and even make a cameo in Star Trek.

We need black superhero films, black sci fi action flicks, black sports films, etc, etc. The fact that everything that comes out focusing on us is either a rom com, biopic or "black family" film makes me sick. fukk all that. We gotta expand beyond that.

some films lose money just like stock lose money, that's why even top actors don't invest their own money and make the films they want to make
you have to realize its long money out here, its not just one man investing in an entire film

You realize films never stop making money because all of the other mediums they go through, the money is ownership of the film, it's a cash flow
