Movie was alright. It has some very good suspense moments but it never gets that scary, mostly because few of the stories get time to breathe. Rather than skipping from one story to the next (creating a lot of dull space in between) it would've been better to have them run simultaneously so all characters are caught up in their own demons and the threat feels present throughout the entire movie instead of momentarily.

The result is a movie that basically felt like the sequel to Trick 'r Treat that never got made.

I didn't even know this was being made. I remember getting the first book at those scholastic book fairs in elementary. That shyt had me sleeping with the light on for a while.

I must have been too old for this cause I don't remember it and I was a heavy reader. To put it in perspective when Goosebumps came out I thought of those as kiddie books from the Fear Street nikka....

This is the OG series, started in 1981. "Goosebumps" didn't start until 1992.
