You do not want to see the newly published books at all. They got another artist to do the drawings and they look more kid friendly.

Movie was alright. It has some very good suspense moments but it never gets that scary, mostly because few of the stories get time to breathe. Rather than skipping from one story to the next (creating a lot of dull space in between) it would've been better to have them run simultaneously so all characters are caught up in their own demons and the threat feels present throughout the entire movie instead of momentarily.

The result is a movie that basically felt like the sequel to Trick 'r Treat that never got made.

I found it to be spectacularly underwhelming. Bummed me out too because I was pretty excited to see it.

The year 3030
this was alright overall. Ran a little long. Was like Goosebumps (with Jack Black) mixed with Final Destination.

things i liked
all the story segment characters like Harold, The Dream woman, spiders, etc
sarah as a shadow

Things that were :ld:
nixon shyt
draft dodging story
got too dark during "scares" could hardly see shyt
sarah climax

don't mind PG/PG13 horror flicks, but I denno...maybe an R would have benefited it more.

Hate to be that guy, but I've never heard of this book(is it a book series...?)
I must have been too old for this cause I don't remember it and I was a heavy reader. To put it in perspective when Goosebumps came out I thought of those as kiddie books from the Fear Street nikka:flabbynsick:....:yeshrug:

This is the OG series, started in 1981. "Goosebumps" didn't start until 1992.

This is way more fukked up and dark, too.

Fred.
:ehh:Ok. I wasn't too old then. This series just completely missed my radar back in the day.

Better than I expected for a pg-13 teen horror movie. This is the type of movie I would've loved when I was a tween watching it on HBO
