Maddening difficulty without new game plus

:damn:

I did hard mode out the gate and I still regret it.

Can barely grind so only so many characters are actually useful :mjcry:

Trying to do someone's side story right now and these big ass demons in the forest are kicking my ass :russ:

When you have 3 or 4 powerhouses you feel Invincible, until mid and endgame surrounds the map with high ass defensive demons and enemies.

:damn:

I know that all too well. Trying to get Ferdinand and Caspar some utility this time around.

I did the mock battle at least 15 times

I did one NG and another NG+ run on maddening. I mean it does test how good you are good at the game since you need to think about every action. Early on it is stupid rough like for many people it is probably not enjoyable tbh. Imo hard felt too easy given and maddening was too punishing.

Plus ambush spawns in maddening move on the turn they summon, which is not cool at all.

Was the dlc stuff for this worth buying?

It was cool:ld:

You get a self-contained story with the new house and after that you can recruit them when you start up a new save in the normal game. There's other costumes and another good character unit for a particular route as well. If you feel like doing another playthrough again I'd say its worth it:ehh:

Literally madness. I was wondering why I'm putting myself through this difficulty on these first two missions. Can only imagine what the armored beasts and bandit stage is like.

Yeah hard felt like normal to me on my first playthrough. This time around I have to wait for these enemies to approach, three at a time and use my WHOLE TEAM to beat 3 enemies. The bow is very necessary right now.

IIRC after the first 3 main story battles, things become a lot more manageable if you optimize everything. Altho you do get a difficulty spike after the time skip tho. Altho a recommendation is do not do Silver Snow on maddening. I had to restart that final map 3 times on maddening NG+. Yea......

Yeah at this point wait for a sale since it's so old. Probably guaranteed to happen around Black Friday. This is still my favorite Switch game.
Worse comes I’ll just cop with my PayPal on Best Buy and pay for it over 2 months. Physical is on sale but I don’t buy those anymore :francis:
