Damn breh, you turned into a pessimist in no time, they lost 1 game without DeRozan and they'll adjust to him not being there over time.

Unrealistic expectations of a young big, go check Marc Gasol's numbers in his first 3 years, not much difference between him and Jonas is younger than Marc. You had unreal ideas about what he'd be this year, you were talking like 18/11 and shyt, he was compared to Joakim Noah when he was drafted and he's pretty much in line with where Noah was.

Centers take longer to develop, if he hasn't improved 2 years from now so be it, but right now you're overly critical of a young 5, especially when he provides solid interior defense. You put him on the trade market and teams would be beating down the door to get him....

then he should be on the trade market...let's see what we can get :sas1:

i've like jonas and kept wanting to give him a chance for years now but he mostly still has all the same weaknesses and bad habits. yeah a couple more years might fix some problems but if we can get value for him now :sas2:

Exactly why wait for 2-3 years when hes still doing the same shyt....Im confident that hes not gonna get much better.
interior defender i dont see it,bad hekp defender, isnt a great rebounder, isnt physical enough for those balls....lets be real his offense suck still...he sucks against elite bigs and teams...and tonight he should be killing these guys in the paint and hes shooting 30 % ?? Unaacceptable forget his age as crutch,he lacks alot of testicular fortitude..and thats not just gonna come with age...hes slow he hesitates at the rim n(cuz he knows hes slow)

fck it if someone loves his ass and wanna give me something lets talk....

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
This is just going in circles....I said at best he could be a 18/11 guy if he smartens up and cleans up his bad habits...
Id settle for 13/11 and a def anchor...His interior D is not solid its inconsistent, you basing ur opinion on 1 block shot at the end that should have been a foul...

Nah, I'm basing it on the fact not 1 single team in the top 10 defenses in the NBA has a shytty center, not a 1 of them. So you're telling me that Jonas is the outlier, when every other top 10 defensive team in the league has a guy that is considered good to great at protecting the rim? I said he was solid and he is, every stat backs that up but you want to throw the stats out cause they don't fit your narrative. He's only slightly behind Marc Gasol in opponent FG% @ the rim (47.2% vs 49.6%). He needs to improve on several things, but to dismiss him as a solid interior defender is straight :camby:

If other teams are in love with him thats GREAT,maybe theyll overpay to get him...cuz he doesnt provide what we need and imma proactive person,i dont want this to drag on to year 7 like bargnani did where were still waiting for it...

:dead: Centers don't even hit their stride until the mid 20s, you have one that is 22 and is putting up numbers that Marc Gasol did at 26 and Noah did at 25. Like I said, if you put him on the market today, several teams would be trying their best to get him, that never happened with Andrea.

Im surprised you really think hes a solid interior defender...i know you like parroting dudes ceiling but if you sat and watching him for an entire game i dont see how you can say right now hes a solid defender...

Even in tonights game alone, many mental mistakes...Too often hes in a bad position in his stance that doesnt allow him to help at the rim,too often he stands in the paint with his arms up like a statue, thats not solid interior defending, thats not even reacting to the play..thats just hoping someone runs into you...

A 22 year old big man making mental mistakes you say, really? :lupe: You watch him and only see the bad things he does, you don't see the good and overlook the fact you do have an anchor in the paint that will only get better at defense the longer he plays. You cut that bum Ross so much slack, yet you could plug just about any player into his spot and get similar results.

I do think he's a solid interior defender, every statistical analysis of him shows that he is, only thing that says he's bad at it is you, and there's nothing but salt backing that opinion up.

Stop bringing up his age,Anthony Davis a year younger...Val played one year pro balll before the NBA and has played alot of international ball, his age is a terrible excuse for some of his shortcomings...

and i notice you never bring up his offense when discussing him...his pumpfakin, his slowness, his turnovers cuz he holds the ball down all the time, his indecisiveness...His inability to punish smaller front courts, his lack of nuts against competent centers...talk about it breh.

Lock up a 28 year old PG, but trade away the 22 year old center.

Kyle going to be an all star this year,he has some pedigree...Val with never be that....
Val in 4 years will be traded to utah and will backup Derrick Favors thatll be the end of his chapter...

Anthony Davis is a generational player, that is a terrible comparison, you may as well bring up LeBron James when someone talks about how long it took Joe Johnson to develop.

I don't bring up his offense because it's not like he's featured, he's going to get better there but he'll never be a big scorer.

You would have been calling for a trade of Kyle if he was drafted by the Raptors, he averaged 9ppg in his first 3 years and wasn't the player he is today, pedigree?

Oh, the Jazz would trade Kanter for him in a second, then you'd be complaining about how come Kanter can't protect the rim :russ:

Its not a comparison, its a point that age isnt a factor....If Val had some pedigree youd seeing much more consistently right now than you do....way too many 4 pt 6 reb games and agsinst horrible competition...and quote w.e synergy stats you like breh breh...It aint saving him from being benched in 4th quarters cuz he doesnt rotate and cant be trusted defensively in big games....

Itd be no different than right now at least Kanter can knock down a 12 footer without pumpfaking 12 times...

Ironic you bring Kanter into this since that was ur first euro big prodigy lol...

Age does matter, especially since one of them is a center and the other is a PF, and most importantly one of them is a generational player and the other isn't.

He had a 27/11 game a few days ago, you were probably complaining that it wasn't a 30/15 game.

Jonas is 22 and moves like he's 38. How does that happen? Night and day from his rookie year to now. @Malta stop looking at numbers and watch him play. He's slow footed, can't rebound in traffic, looks awkward in the post and has no moves. Take a drink every time he pump fakes. You won't make it past the first Q. His vertical has decreased. His numbers can get better with touches but does that mean he's improved? How many bigs that aren't fluid offensively(like a Gasol) develop that over time? I'm guessing not many. You compared him to Noah? Noah doesn't let Jordan Hill look like Shaq.
