If the numbers point to him being a good defender in the paint,why isnt Casey using him in close games when defensive stops are the key to those games...Its not like they were losing those games,he subbed Jonas for Chuck Hayes and they won the game because of that move against memphis....Val was getting killed down low by Zach and Marc but i guess Casey decided to go with his eyes not Def % numbers printed off before the game...

Monroe will give you consisten offense which Val wont give you....You put a rim protector with monroe you have a capable front court...Vals offense is never going to be enough itll off set his defensive inconsistencies...Nahmean if were gonna be bad defensively gimme the guy who can offset that and drop 20 on a given night

Rim protectors are valued commodities around the league, just look at the teams that have them and how unwilling they are to let them go.
You may actually have the caproom this summer to get Monroe and keep Jonas, they would be better together as opposed to just trading Jonas and hoping someone will give away a guy that can compliment Monroe.
