Well i like to play in linear fashion, like we talked about
:manny:I guess. But they definitely give you the option to go back to the open world if you want. The problem is, by the time you get to that point you'll be so sick of the game you most likely won't have interest in doing anything but getting it all over with.

Yall make me want to throw this game in the bushes and play Watchdogs 2. I'm only on Chapter 3, but with the way ya'll are talking this is essentially the best part? :wtf:
This:francis:

The game is boring already but the way its being talked about in here makes me question this:patrice:

For me it's literally the storytelling,

It's so much missed potential, offscreen events and

"and oh by the way, you should care about this, even though we didn't build up no plot outside of radio updates at the diner."

:troll::troll::troll:

moments that have you like :mindblown:

but the again the last RPG was the witcher 3 and that might have ruined most RPGs for me.

After beating adamantoise I haven't had an interest to turn this game back on. I might force myself to beat some more hunts just to fill the time between now and Resident Evil 7.

Well...most games don't garner a huge interest in revisiting them after beating them. Even if it was a great game. There's 1000s of other games out there ya know.

Yeah and I've never been big on trying to 100% games. I'm more interested in a good story when I'm playing a game. Once I'm done with that everything else tends to feel like a chore unless the game is particularly fun and has that high replay value. That's rare to me though. The Last Of Us is a masterpiece in my opinion but I have no interest at all in playing that game again because my interests are so story driven. That's why I always keep a new book on deck on my Kindle.

I will say, being my first FF since ten, I got a kick out of the constants and FF mythology

  • Ultima weapon
  • Cid, biggs, wedge
  • Tonberry, cactaur, chocobo etc
  • And I'm still mad Masamune was DLC
That familiarity is underrated if you don't play a game in its universe for a decade or so.
Biggs and wedge brought a smile to my face. That FF7 nostalgia for me.

:jbhmm:So, after beating the game, a few things(some spoilers ahead):

After arriving in Altissia, the game goes downhill by taking away all the open world freedom and turning it into a linear snoozefest. I can't believe they didn't allow you to roam Tenebrae, Gralea, place with the Glacians, etc. Must be DLC content...:martin:

Have to agree with you brehs on Chapter 13, that was ridiculous, only because its so tedious & corridor after corridor of the same shyt basically rendering all the previous chapters leveling up useless. Just make sure you have adequate elixirs, potions and what not.

I'm sure it'll be another DLC scenario, but its criminally insane not to allow the players to explore the World of Ruin in the last chapter. That would of been fun trying to make your way to Lestallum through hordes of daemons.

Music in this game is excellent. I only wish they took the same care with the story & latter half of this game, but I suspect they rushed this(even though they had a decade).

:patrice:That Naga monster you fought at Galdin Quay might of been that woman that was the cook there, or at least she was turned into a daemon(her clothes were left on the counter like the soldiers in Gralea that turned into daemons). Same might of happened to Dino, the jeweler.

Why they do Ignis like that? :pacspit:

This clown Prompito spends a decade simping and still can't sniff the vagina? At what point do you just give up?

Almost forgot about, Cor. :dahell: breh just sitting around listening to Coernix Oil commercials in the basement instead of fighting. What a waste of power! I bet with him & the 4 guys combined with Aranea & her army, they could of just went into Insomnia and took it back.

Can't wait to see how the FF7 remake gets fukked up.
