After doing most of the end game stuff I'd still say this game is good overall I guess, but after starting Fallout 4 last week it made me realise how shallow this game is, good combat etc. But it has no depth...obviously I'm not saying Fallout is the definition of that I'm just comparing since they're both open world and it's what I'm playing atm.

You actually could have gone back but the game doesn't make that easily understandable to the player. What you have to do is go to a hotel and it will give you the option to sleep or go to the past with the dog umbra. When you select the dog it allows you to go back to the past and do any side missions you wanted to do. Now that you beat the game, you can load up your final save and do some of those old quests.

Actually, I just got to this part of the game when that option first shows up (in chapter 9) and it pretty much does tell you that specifically is what's needed to do in order to do that.

I had just started a bit into chapter 10 last night after finishing 9 and I was feeling rather sleepy into 9 (both due to the game and just due to general end of day/night fatigue) and while the story is rather rushed and badly paced as everyone has stated, the visuals and music reach even greater heights at that point. Too bad it's at the expense of a trade off rather than further overall game enrichment tho.

I must say, at the end of chapter 9 and opening of chapter 10, really makes fine use of HDR for certain. Like, I've been here or there about it in the few games I've played that have it and tho FFXV has it noticeably throughout the game, it stands out in scenes where I'm at right now for sure. shyt is like in-store demo material and beyond from leading up to the boss fight and just after it. I'm not a full-fledged graphic whore, especially at the expense of gameplay, but shyt right here...my god, is visual euphoria.

Just finished chapter 13 earlier today. Yeah, it was definitely overly long and quite annoying, tho with all the talk, I expected it to be a quite a bit worse. It wasn't as bad once
you first get a sword back. The less annoying upon getting your crew back.

I'm a bit into chapter 14 now. From stuff I've read prior and know seeing myself, this does remind me quite a bit of FFVI in a few ways.

I got up to the part right before the end boss with the ultima weapon running around and gave up and watched the ending on youtube. Highly disappointed at the ending and how the last battle was. This shyt should have been named Final Fantasy Ground Zeroes
