Which movies are the 2 good ones?
For me, it's the first, part 3, and new nightmare. The rest of them I can skip unless I'm in the mood for fukkery
It seems like a lot of people weren't a fan of 2.
2 was such a diversion from part 1 and really when the series turned more comedic. Plus having a male protagonist doesn't work. It broke some of the rules Wes established, and has homosexual undertones that weren't popular back in 86. Obviously we're more progressive and enlightened now so I shrug at most of that stuff, but even without that factor, it just doesn't really work. It's a little too silly. Dream Warriors brought it back to where it needed to be before Dream Master and Dream Child went back to the comedic aspect. By the time Freddy's Dead came out, shyt is a full on comedy in 3D
Honestly I think 1 and New Nightmare are the good movies.
Don't get me wrong i love the series, but in the way I also love Batman Forever. I grew up on that shyt and have a lot of fun watching it.
1 and new nightmare are the most serious movies in the bunch. Freddy is still funny but its gallows humor, not full on standup material
