There is no cheat code to losing weight.
Determine a workable diet to get the nutrients and calories you need to maintain yourself. Then design an exercise regimen to burn more calories then you consume.

Through trial and error and what your realistic goals are, you can design the right plan for yourself.

I'd recommend getting a basic nutrition book, getting a basic exercise book so that you can make informed choices about the right diet and exercise choices for yourself.

I've had good results using IF and want to know what you personally have done

The disruption of food/water disrupts the systems that keep you functioning.

Exactly what reaction your body will have to starvation depends on a number of factors. Every possible reaction puts stress on those systems. Undue stress because person isn't poor with lack of access to food/water, but willingly fasting.

You can't predict what stress or damage is being done to your body by intermittent fasting, but surely stress and damage is taking place.
You are making the inaccurate claim that your body enters starvation easily.

It doesn’t

Above the fray.
thats dumb , you dont have to eat all the time, let your body get rid of the toxins , youll feel more clear
and you dont have to fast for weeks you know, a few days here n there

but your body is your body and mine is mine so its different for everyone but people been fasting for ever and speak highly of it, you ever fasted for 3 days??
Wait, so me stating that eating regularly allows the body to function properly is dumb?

But people speaking highly of fasting for 3 days is considered "good advice"?

I've trained and encouraged several family members to adopt healthy lifestyles and strive for reasonable, gradual weigh loss goals. By making permanent changes, they've all been able to gradually shed the weight that they didn't want to carry around and improve their health.
I take it that fasting might give people a psychological/spiritual/mental boost in being able to control a natural urge. Not worth the stress on your body systems, though. Said the same thing to relatives who I work out with. If person is carrying around excess weight, and maybe predisposed to health conditions...shocking your body systems by fasting doesn't seem like a good idea.

Full disclosure, I am a natural ectomorph.

No offense taken and no apology required.

You called what I said dumb.,but I have to double down on it.
There are other ways to help rid the body and digestive system of toxins. Majority of them are healthier than starving the body.

Lol at fasting is not healthy. A lot of ppl fast unintentionally. I did for basically all of my school year until I graduated. I wasn’t big on breakfast and used to skip it and wouldn’t eat til lunch time but I didnt know that was fasting until my health teacher made me aware

No sir, you avoided the points I made and deflected to a tangential point about starvation.

Replace the word "starvation" with deprivation of food and try to address the earlier points.

YOU used the word starvation. You don’t help your argument when you have to change a word within your own post to help your argument.

Food and the resulting energy is often stored so so you are rarely deprived of nutrients/energy. Your entire argument and perspective is skewed on a false pretense that IF deprives the body of nutrients which it doesn’t do. 2000 calories of food in 8 hours or 2000 calories of food in 16 hours is virtually the same without outside mitigating factors or goals.

@Get These Nets

You know people fast every night while they sleep...hence breakfast( break fast) exist.
I think people are trying to deflect from the points that I'm making.
How would pointing out that there exists periods of time between regular meals have anything to do with this discussion?

Guys in here are talking about the willing forgoing of meals for extended periods of time. I'm saying that doing so causes stress and possible damage to your body (unnecessarily)
