I always felt like Rock tries to hard. He just loud and obnoxious, more annoying than funny. Plus his opinions remind me of black people that try to be militant even though all their friends are white. He gives every one of his white friends a pass to say the n word and yet I hardly ever see him in the company of black people.

It's the other way around actually. Y'all acting like a black comic has to tap dance and act like sambo to be representative of the black community. That's the most c00nish and cartoonish form do comedy. Literally doing the same act as 1920's blackface comedians.
No it's not. Most black people love Dave Chappelle this is not true at all :mjlol: You guys love making shyt up on here.

It is true. That's the reason you only ever see those type of comedians hate on other black comedians. Dave never hated on other black celebrities. May have made jokes, but never straight up saying this black man sucks in an interview.

Fauxon love = crab in the barrel ass nikka.

He's trippin but there are a lot of bougie ass Chapelle fans out there who think you have to have a certain level of 'intelligence' :mjpls::mjpls: to appreciate his shyt.

I can appreciate a Katt Williams standup as much as a Chappell one. It don't gotta be one sided

exactly. I fukkin LOVE Katt's standups, but even in Katt's shyt there's a level of wittiness that is slept on in his jokes.

You CAN like both styles, but mufukkaz who insist it has to be one way or the other can :camby:

The great ones know how to be universal.

Was gonna say the exact same thing. A lot of black folks have been fakin like Dave has always been a black comedy legend. But he's been around since the early 90s and he wasn't a big part of the black scene like that (Def Jam, Comic View, In Living Color, all those black movies...). He did Robin Hood Men in Tights and used to be a regular on Conan O'Brien so white people had been his main audience and black folks were kinda late to the party... :yeshrug:

Bro just posted a clip of Dave on def jam before your post..

I always bust out laughing at Dave...never bust out laughing at Richard Pryor. When I watch his specials I'm just amazed at how effortless that shyt was for him. all comedians should aspire to reach the level of fearlessness when on stage. Martin Lawrence "You So Crazy" had me cryin a few times. Eddie Murphy....Delirious was funnier than Raw to me. By time I watched Raw I had heard a million shytty comedians recycle those jokes so it didnt hit as hard for me.

Love all of Chris Rock's specials and the only comedian to make me laugh as much as I did while watching those was Damon Wayons. Damon Wayans is underrated as fukk when it comes to stand up....I'll put "One Night Stand", "Still Standing" and "Last Stand" up against most specials.
