Actually I enjoy Dave's and Rock's material. They are an extension of dikk Gregory, Paul Mooney and Pryor as comedians. They intertwine social issues with their comedy.
They aren't afraid to touch any subject from a comedy stand point.
Think about it is any mainstream comic going where Dave went with the tranny and race jokes?
No one is touching that and no one can touch that subject and make you laugh from a mainstream comedian stand point.
It is like the times when I went to see Mooney when he was healthy. I would sit there and be like wow...no one could touch this shyt and make it funny while also hitting home.
