They caught the guy who is alleged to have murdered the guy from Kentucky mentioned in the article above at Catholic U - The man caught was late 20's early thirties Latino guy and may it have been over opioids. Just wanted to differentiate this story from the overall discussion here regarding the youth crime issues here in DC.

Oh, yeah.They aired video footage of the attack on the first murder victim from Catholic. That's how they were able to locate and arrest that scumbag.
The second murder, within days, and the robberies is what prompted the town hall and security changes.
juveniles are behind the crime wave in DC and they aren't committing crimes to feed themselves. Maybe some are but the reality is that if you are hungry in DC, there are plenty of services available for you.

IMO it started when cacs started gentrifying the city & pushing DC residents out.
It stopped being chocolate city. They banned gogo, took away funding, they threw away our culture, etc
The amigos took over Columbia Heights, white people started building fukking doggy day cares & and we were left by the waste-side.
Politically, they started appeasing cacs and welcoming them in while we were forced out.

That’s the story with EVERY HBCU and the city they’re located in. The school is typically always in/right next to the hood, and it’s ALWAYS beef/disconnect with the locals.
