'a full search' can mean something slightly different in a police station ,when the person in question is stupid enough or mad enough to attack a police officer in a police vehicle and threaten to give said officer HIV. stripped naked , feet stamped on, testicles squeezed, being pushed into walls. and finishing off with a nice cup of tea (piss and mouse droppings to sweeten it).Have to send a message you see that it is hazadous to your health to attack police officers, they have wives, husbands, kids etc etc .Person in question hung himself in a psychiatric hospital a few months later.
There are also certain police stations that people taken into custody beg not to go to, especially at night.
There are things that you are expected to do, and if you aren't prepared to be a 'team player' because you have moral objections or whatever, you can forget carrying on in the job, at least on that shift and in that station.
Observations of someone who decided to join the police as a 'special constable' while at university , believing he would be based at the police station that dealt with drunken girls rolling out of nightclubs, but was instead 'dikked' and ended up at police station that was basically a punishment posting for fukk ups they could not get rid of. I can only think I was sent there because I was english and I was up in scotland. My shift consisted of union men (trouble makers for the most part), psychopaths, racists, religious bigots, bull lesbians, sluts who would sleep with anyone including the scum we arrested, ex soldiers with PTSD episodes, punchup artists, drunks at various points in time , . I would say if I ever got in trouble I wouldn't want most of them arresting me or taken to that particular police station, because of fukked up shyt went on.
Still I throughly enjoyed most of my time there and recieved a glowing reference . You certainly get a different perspective on various aspects of life. And I had some fun nights out with the lads and lassies on the shift.
